But I did think piccolo would be stronger. The evil babidi awakened was greater than any other. He should have unlocked much more power than he did for vegeta. Still cool tho

This fight was fucking METAL. The way Piccolo disposed of Yakon and PuiPui was so satisfying. The special beam canon killing Babidi and crippling Dabura was just perfect, a true testament to the piercing power of that technique. What can I say man, you're at the top of your game and getting better. Please never stop animating Dragon Ball, thank so much for the dopeness.
True, but I think Dabura was still the stronger fighter with a higher power level in this moment. That being said, he did walk straight into a Makan- manaksa- mokasopp- special beam canon.
I love how Piccolo, across the manga, anime, and fan works, is always depicted as being so dangerous because he fights SMART, making him able to compete against opponents he wouldn't normally be able to beat.
@Dynantttbf with the super power creep with some of these characters being ssb level threats now. Piccolo does need to be within a comparable range to match up to these guys. So a wish to unlock his potential isnt the worst thing.
It did for me too, but it makes sense Babidi's shields are strong, but we've seen just a bit of effort can break them. So a special beam cannon would be more than enough.

That scene where Piccolo blinds Dabura with the blood from Pui Pui's still beating heart is one of the coldest things I've seen in fiction period, fanworks and official alike.
@@celldh0825 It’s definitely darker than usual but OG Dragon Ball when King Piccolo came out had the same level of point blank darkness. Krillin, a child at the time, had his skull caved in. Goku seeking revenge, got brutalized into near death. Then several characters both, main and side, dying later on in failed attempts to end K. Piccolo. Goku was in near pieces before finally ending his rein of terror by blowing a hole in his torso. So yeah, Definitely dark but appropriately so for King Piccolo.

That Special Beam Cannon was so freaking smart. Instead of aiming it at Dabura, risking the chance of him dodging the blast, Piccolo specifically aimed straight at Babidi, knowing full well Babidi would not be able to survive AND Dabura would attempt to shield Babidi from the attack, thus killing them both.
It makes sense considering even with the majin boost, piccolo never had a chance at beating dabura and Z taught us that raw power isn't always needed to win a battle. So since piccolo is extremely smart and strategic at times, he used his battle IQ over his strength to win
@@Cee-rn4xbPiccolo is unaware of Super Saiyan 3 and judging by how outclassed Piccolo was in terms of straight up power (he says Daburas power is comparable at Cells peak, and that he didn’t stand a chance) Judging by that statement he definetly cannot handle a SSJ2 variant of either saiyan, nontheless a SSJ3 Goku, even factoring in his combat intelligence. But he does have a chance considering the fact he’s more calculating than Piccolo Jr. and also the fact he is gathering the dragon balls for either immortality or a potential unleash.
I would love to see this series progress like the black saga, with the first one being Kami vs Gohan, Vegeta vs Neil, Potential unlocked Gohan against whoever the third is, piccolo vs goku and finally dragon ball piccolo (which I assume is going to be orange demon king piccolo) vs super vegito

This was the perfect example of raw power versus cunning. Dabura definitely had the upperhand, but with that massive stubborn handicap he had to protect at all costs, fighting the crafty demon king Piccolo wasn't in the cards. Had Babidi listened instead, the result would have been very different. Hyourinjutsu, I am sure that mine is just one of millions you get, but you are out of this world with those animations. Your what-if series, from choreography to storytelling, is stunning work of art. I am glad Toriyama lived, so that he could inspire people like you to gift us those wonderful stories. I loved your Goku Black arc and this one here is definitely up on my top 5. Thank you for blessing our days 🙏
He only lost because of Babidi's stubbornness and idiocy, it's like Piccolo said, if Dabura didn't listen to Babidi he would've won but that was not Dabura's fault since he was under control of Babidi and he had to obey his commands, so their deaths are Babidi's fault.
There's a strange thematic deal here that just rhymes so perfectly. OG Demon King vs Z Demon King, the battle for the fate of Earth in a twisted way. The likely upcoming rematch of Piccolo Jr and Goku in the World Tournament like in days of old. Gohan (and even Vegeta) having to see who Piccolo was originally. A chefs kiss of bringing another Arc full circle.
I really appreciate that Piccolo won not by being strong, but by being *smart* Hell, him using the Mafuba to seal Buu's pod away is lowkey GENIUS and I'm mad Piccolo was stone during the actual arc, hence why he didn't even habe the chsnce to try it. Although, I do like that he acknowelged that he would have had *no chance* against Buu and only succeeded cause he was sealed.
I do like how the presence of others in him disrupted Babidi's full control, that definitely seems like something that would happen in canon, and it's pretty neat to see your take on this, considering the only other time it's been done was in Supersonic Warriors 2. That he has villainous plans for later seems interesting if followed up on, but I'm too fond of heroic Piccolo to really want a return of a new Demon-King Piccolo, haha. The Baby-Piccolo tease at the beginning (and really the whole style of the intro in total) was great though. I love teases for future ideas or just further delving into the kind of craziness that an infinite multiverse can do.
Seeing this finally pop-up really made my day after all the hell I went through today. Your animations are always something that gets me really excited.
Its kind of crazy that its confirmed that namekians are from the demon realm and how in this what if debura mentions that the mefuba was used to seal demons in the demon realm and the fact that the original demon king piccolo was sealed using the mafuba
This was by far the most lethal and gruesome episode and Im glad you didn't pull any punches. Piccolo has always been a "fight tooth and nail" kind of person. It reminded me of his fight with Goku back in the world tournament and with raditz. His underhanded tactics and strategies are what makes him just as dangerous as the rest of the cast in an entirely different way.

This was an amazing animation and well worth the wait. I especially loved when Piccolo used a split technique to trick Dabura, it was well-planned and greatly executed.

Goku with the flawed Buu Saga SSJ3 gets killed by whatever buff or plan Piccolo has, leaving Gohan to reach new heights to avenge not only his father but his mentor/closest friend.
This could be a beginning what-if for Beast Gohan to emerge just before Beerus arrives on Earth for the Super Saiyan God. Essentially, "Majin Orange Piccolo" vs. Beast Gohan. However this may not happen because Shenron could sense the evil presence within Piccolo and not allow him to have that extra bonus.
At first, I thought Piccolo was saved by Kami and Nail. But the end and the fact the spell re-awakens a person's latent evil got me like: Oh... no. Demon King Piccolo is just too _power-hungry_ to be controlled. *Babidi had unleashed an old tyrant back to the world.*
Fun fact In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Devilman's special attack deals more damage the more evil a person is. There are three characters, if I recall correctly, who are tied for being the most damaged by it. Devilman himself, Janemba (who is literally made of evil), and Demon King Piccolo. More than Frieza, Cell, Evil Buu even. This Piccolo is so evil it can hardly be fathomed.
To think that Majin Piccolo is more evil than even Frieza of all people, the most evil of the Z villain roster and the Emperor of the Universe... With how he did against Badidi and Dabura, we can only imagine the level of evil he's going to ensue, especially if he succeeds against the rest of the crew.
This animation is the exemplary model for why Hyourinjutsu’s animations ARE PEAK! Not only does Piccolo allow himself to fall under the Majin influence to perpetuate upcoming What-If’s of a “reincarnated” Piccolo Daimao, but also to give him the power boost needed to at least survive rounds with Dabura. Note that he only needed it to survive, not overpower Dabura, and it was rather a skill of Piccolo to split his afterimages to deceive and strike Babidi with a Special Beam Cannon, an attack that can kill beings LEAGUES ahead of Piccolo in power when charged up! It’s not only such a great callback to the double kill of Raditz and Goku, but also a callback to his fight with Frost at Tournament of Destroyers Arc in Super, especially with using the elongated arm to hold Dabura in place. It plays to Piccolo’s role as the wise tactician as he is, and impaling sneak-attacks ARE CERTAINLY SOMETHING MAJUNIOR IS FAMILIAR WITH! He is unforgiving, he throws blood into Dabura’s eyes like Daimao does with dirt to Kid Goku, Piccolo takes hostages, and aims for Babidi in an attempt to capture Dabura off-guard, and for Dabura’s loyalty to Babidi-this is Piccolo at his most evil, and efficient. This isn’t unrealistic, as even the Majin boost likely couldn’t propel Piccolo to Majin Vegeta’s or Goku’s level, but it’s rather the return of his conniving and entropically bipolar mind and morals that’s the threat! AND THAT is what amazed me; for the fact that this MAY HAVE actually happened, and it puts so much respect towards my favorite parts of Piccolo from his entire character’s journey! I sense Majin Piccolo will gather the Dragon Balls to awaken his latent potential like in Super Hero, and I could very well see him deceiving everyone at the Lookout to power himself up! Can’t wait for the next What-If Animation, What-If #21! With recent news of Akira Toriyama-sensei’s passing, it feels almost like this was a passionate love-letter to Toriyama-sensei’s favorite character, even if unintentional. Thank you Toriyama-sensei for the great worlds you’ve bestowed upon us, and thank you Hyourinjutsu for another GOATED animation like always. 12/10, respect to Piccolo 👍🔥
Was it an afterimage? Because Dabura stabbed Piccolo's hand and after blasting him point-blank you can still see the hand attached. But after the makankosappo that ends the fight you can see Piccolo's arm fully healed. So I would guess that Piccolo split and the one we see at the end of the fight is what was originally Majunior. That or I'm overthinking it :')
@@cross_sans1395it was a cloning technique. Tien did the same thing back in og dragon ball. The only drawback is that it also cuts the users power in half for each clone used. Piccolo used Pui Puis blood as a diversion to blind dabura and switched himself with the clone to charge the special beam canon. The technique greatly boosts the users power to where piccolos temporarily much stronger than dabura (the double kill shown here is a reference to how piccolo killed goku and raditz in the same fashion and why it was able to do such fatal damage).
Brains beat brawn. Very well done. Honestly, that Baby possessed Piccolo also has my curiosity. Though if you’re looking for other ideas, how about a what-if fight involving The Ginyu Force? As in, all 5 at once. They’re a team and two of them have really unique abilities. Imagine what they can do even against someone with a very high power level.

I like how most of your animations make it so the characters are more vulnerable and feel more “alive” in the sense that they do have weak spots and can actually die if hit hard enough there if not badly injured even if they are normally far stronger. It keeps the audience engaged throughout the fight as they don’t know who will win in the end outside of narrative. And remind us that even though they are walking disaster, they are in the end still mortals and have weaknesses corresponding to it.
Ever since I saw that one artwork of Majin Piccolo which looked super menacing I was always intimidated by this idea. And now we got Hyourin animating it 🤯

I sometimes forget how well thought out your what ifs are because bro the tactics on piccolo for this one are crazy and accurate to the character. I love the way he killed the fodder off, wildly ruthless I love it. You’ve got nothing but bangers my dude!!
Piccolo being the goat once again. I especially really enjoyed how Piccolo blinded Dabura with Pui-Puis blood and then split to eventually kill the former and Babidi at the same time. Tactical fighting that would be expected from Piccolo, and you really delivered! :)

The greatest thing about Hyourinjutsu's animation is the fact that he really WON'T sugarcoat it. If such character is stronger than this person, regardless whether that character is a villain or the protagonist Hyourinjutsu doesn't care and finish off the person it is facing.
Give this man the dbz budget he can make an amazing story and interesting "filler/side stories" love your creativity every fight you make shocks and amazes me keep it up
This felt like the start of a new "What-If Arc" like with Goku Black! I'd love to see what else this "Demon King Piccolo" arc has in store! Majin Orange Piccolo, more demon clan enemies? He mentioned getting the dragon balls! Honestly--I'd love to see Hyourinjutsu have a sort of "What-If Evil Avengers" team up with all his strongest baddies across his episodes: Majin Piccolo (and whatever he might become as the series continues), Baby Vegito Black, Golden Freeza Final Form (From GT), Golden Cell (SSJ4 Goku Absorbed, From GT)... to name the obvious few.

Also I’m 100% here for continuing this narrative, this is one I think a lot of fans including myself are fascinated by. Piccolo gets so shafted in the Buu arc and pretty much every iteration of Dragon Ball beyond despite being one of the best characters.

Fr if he’d just treated Buu with respect (or at least decently) he would have lived A LOT longer and, with him guiding Buu’s actions, they may have even been able to find the Lookout and squadwipe them before the boys finished their fusion training (IE he has Buu follow Gotenks back after Buu beats him the first time)
I like how Piccolo slowly descends into darkness over the course of the fight until all that’s left is the Demon King. He seemingly fully embraces his buried evil after he splits his body against Dabura. I know this was a what-if, Hyourinjutsu, but if you’re willing, of course, I hope you continue this story you started. I’d be really interested in where it’d go.
I love how smart Piccolo fights he's very strategic I don't think any other Z-Fighter fights like that besides Future Gohan I guess. Amazing work as always Hyourinjutsu

Great work, this reminds me of an alternative Piccolo story for supersonic Warriors 2 where the same thing happens except that Piccolo is much stronger and can control Buu and Dabura, later, he absorbs Buu power and can even bring Frieza and Cell back to life lmao.

With the hindsight of Daima’s revelations, perhaps this alternate path happened because Dabura recognized Piccolo as a Namekian, a species who used to reside in the Demon World and so advised Babidi that he should be one of the three they lure into the ship.

Goku seeking revenge, got brutalized into near death. Then several characters both, main and side, dying later on in failed attempts to end K. Piccolo.
Goku was in near pieces before finally ending his rein of terror by blowing a hole in his torso.
So yeah, Definitely dark but appropriately so for King Piccolo.

That Special Beam Cannon was so freaking smart. Instead of aiming it at Dabura, risking the chance of him dodging the blast, Piccolo specifically aimed straight at Babidi, knowing full well Babidi would not be able to survive AND Dabura would attempt to shield Babidi from the attack, thus killing them both.

This was the perfect example of raw power versus cunning. Dabura definitely had the upperhand, but with that massive stubborn handicap he had to protect at all costs, fighting the crafty demon king Piccolo wasn't in the cards. Had Babidi listened instead, the result would have been very different.
Hyourinjutsu, I am sure that mine is just one of millions you get, but you are out of this world with those animations. Your what-if series, from choreography to storytelling, is stunning work of art. I am glad Toriyama lived, so that he could inspire people like you to gift us those wonderful stories. He only lost because of Babidi's stubbornness and idiocy, it's like Piccolo said, if Dabura didn't listen to Babidi he would've won but that was not Dabura's fault since he was under control of Babidi and he had to obey his commands, so their deaths are Babidi's fault.

Hell, him using the Mafuba to seal Buu's pod away is lowkey GENIUS and I'm mad Piccolo was stone during the actual arc, hence why he didn't even habe the chsnce to try it. Although, I do like that he acknowelged that he would have had *no chance* against Buu and only succeeded cause he was sealed.
I do like how the presence of others in him disrupted Babidi's full control, that definitely seems like something that would happen in canon, and it's pretty neat to see your take on this, considering the only other time it's been done was in Supersonic Warriors 2. That he has villainous plans for later seems interesting if followed up on, but I'm too fond of heroic Piccolo to really want a return of a new Demon-King Piccolo, haha.
The Baby-Piccolo tease at the beginning (and really the whole style of the intro in total) was great though. I love teases for future ideas or just further delving into the kind of craziness that an infinite multiverse can do.

This was by far the most lethal and gruesome episode and Im glad you didn't pull any punches. Piccolo has always been a "fight tooth and nail" kind of person. It reminded me of his fight with Goku back in the world tournament and with raditz. His underhanded tactics and strategies are what makes him just as dangerous as the rest of the cast in an entirely different way.

This could be a beginning what-if for Beast Gohan to emerge just before Beerus arrives on Earth for the Super Saiyan God. Essentially, "Majin Orange Piccolo" vs. Beast Gohan. However this may not happen because Shenron could sense the evil presence within Piccolo and not allow him to have that extra bonus.

At first, I thought Piccolo was saved by Kami and Nail. But the end and the fact the spell re-awakens a person's latent evil got me like:

There are three characters, if I recall correctly, who are tied for being the most damaged by it.
Devilman himself, Janemba (who is literally made of evil), and Demon King Piccolo. More than Frieza, Cell, Evil Buu even. This Piccolo is so evil it can hardly be fathomed.
To think that Majin Piccolo is more evil than even Frieza of all people, the most evil of the Z villain roster and the Emperor of the Universe...
With how he did against Badidi and Dabura, we can only imagine the level of evil he's going to ensue, especially if he succeeds against the rest of the crew.

This animation is the exemplary model for why Hyourinjutsu’s animations ARE PEAK! Not only does Piccolo allow himself to fall under the Majin influence to perpetuate upcoming What-If’s of a “reincarnated” Piccolo Daimao, but also to give him the power boost needed to at least survive rounds with Dabura. Note that he only needed it to survive, not overpower Dabura, and it was rather a skill of Piccolo to split his afterimages to deceive and strike Babidi with a Special Beam Cannon, an attack that can kill beings LEAGUES ahead of Piccolo in power when charged up! It’s not only such a great callback to the double kill of Raditz and Goku, but also a callback to his fight with Frost at Tournament of Destroyers Arc in Super, especially with using the elongated arm to hold Dabura in place.
It plays to Piccolo’s role as the wise tactician as he is, and impaling sneak-attacks ARE CERTAINLY SOMETHING MAJUNIOR IS FAMILIAR WITH! He is unforgiving, he throws blood into Dabura’s eyes like Daimao does with dirt to Kid Goku, Piccolo takes hostages, and aims for Babidi in an attempt to capture Dabura off-guard, and for Dabura’s loyalty to Babidi-this is Piccolo at his most evil, and efficient. This isn’t unrealistic, as even the Majin boost likely couldn’t propel Piccolo to Majin Vegeta’s or Goku’s level, but it’s rather the return of his conniving and entropically bipolar mind and morals that’s the threat! AND THAT is what amazed me; for the fact that this MAY HAVE actually happened, and it puts so much respect towards my favorite parts of Piccolo from his entire character’s journey! I sense Majin Piccolo will gather the Dragon Balls to awaken his latent potential like in Super Hero, and I could very well see him deceiving everyone at the Lookout to power himself up!
Can’t wait for the next What-If Animation, What-If #21! With recent news of Akira Toriyama-sensei’s passing, it feels almost like this was a passionate love-letter to Toriyama-sensei’s favorite character, even if unintentional. Thank you Toriyama-sensei for the great worlds you’ve bestowed upon us, and thank you Hyourinjutsu for another GOATED animation like always. 12/10, respect to Piccolo 👍🔥
Was it an afterimage? Because Dabura stabbed Piccolo's hand and after blasting him point-blank you can still see the hand attached. But after the makankosappo that ends the fight you can see Piccolo's arm fully healed. So I would guess that Piccolo split and the one we see at the end of the fight is what was originally Majunior.

@@cross_sans1395 It wasn't the afterimage technique. Piccolo has split himself into two when he obscured Dabura vision with the blood of Pui Pui.
@@cross_sans1395it was a cloning technique. Tien did the same thing back in og dragon ball. The only drawback is that it also cuts the users power in half for each clone used. Piccolo used Pui Puis blood as a diversion to blind dabura and switched himself with the clone to charge the special beam canon. The technique greatly boosts the users power to where piccolos temporarily much stronger than dabura (the double kill shown here is a reference to how piccolo killed goku and raditz in the same fashion and why it was able to do such fatal damage).
Brains beat brawn. Very well done.

Though if you’re looking for other ideas, how about a what-if fight involving The Ginyu Force? As in, all 5 at once. They’re a team and two of them have really unique abilities. Imagine what they can do even against someone with a very high power level.

I like how most of your animations make it so the characters are more vulnerable and feel more “alive” in the sense that they do have weak spots and can actually die if hit hard enough there if not badly injured even if they are normally far stronger. It keeps the audience engaged throughout the fight as they don’t know who will win in the end outside of narrative.
And remind us that even though they are walking disaster, they are in the end still mortals and have weaknesses corresponding to it.

The greatest thing about Hyourinjutsu's animation is the fact that he really WON'T sugarcoat it.
If such character is stronger than this person, regardless whether that character is a villain or the protagonist Hyourinjutsu doesn't care and finish off the person it is facing.

Honestly--I'd love to see Hyourinjutsu have a sort of "What-If Evil Avengers" team up with all his strongest baddies across his episodes: Majin Piccolo (and whatever he might become as the series continues), Baby Vegito Black, Golden Freeza Final Form (From GT), Golden Cell (SSJ4 Goku Absorbed, From GT)... to name the obvious few.

I like how Piccolo slowly descends into darkness over the course of the fight until all that’s left is the Demon King. He seemingly fully embraces his buried evil after he splits his body against Dabura.
I know this was a what-if, Hyourinjutsu, but if you’re willing, of course, I hope you continue this story you started. I’d be really interested in where it’d go.
