because of the quality, this simultaneously feels like 2002/2003 Bullets era found footage and 2022 with their current ages. i don't miss Bob, but i sometimes miss Otter (Matt Pelissier). His drumming on Bullets and Three Cheers was so brilliant. Although, for the style of TBP, I do think Bob was the better fit for that sound. Whereas Matt is the ideal fit for the punkier sound of the pre-Black Parade stuff
Matt was a beast but I've always felt when Bob joined and reworked Matt's parts to suit his own style he actually improved them by making them a bit more nuanced and less fill-crazy (eg how he played Prison and Sorrows - his rolls and fills are insane but not overstated and really hold the groove). He had such a great sense of musicality for the drum parts. And his big sound/style was so perfect for Black Parade but I also think it brought more life and heaviness to the old tracks. Sometimes Otter's super dry, bright, "dead" drum sound didn't quite do justice to the amibitiousness of MCR's arrangements (to my taste anyway). My only issue with Bob's sound is sometimes his snare kinda sounded like a bucket lol sorry for the random essay I just never get to talk about this stuff in detail haha

Hey! There isn’t a ton of information unfortunately so I think a lot of it has been up for interpretation by the community. No one knows exactly why he left the band. There were a couple signs, I guess you could say. For example, before he left, he and Mikey weren’t getting along necessarily. Bob has also said racist things. The only bit of information we got from My Chem about him leaving was ‘artistic differences’. There’s a video by MCR Theories called ‘Why Bob Bryar left My Chemical Romance’. Hopefully this helped!

I wouldn't call bob racist, I would call him edgy tho, that's true. But you have to count that It was years ago, when being edgy is basically being cool and It was literally everybody. That includes gerard, frank, and mikey. In fact, gerard's stans used to clash with frank's stans, calling each other's idol POS and problematic, because they both have tweeted and said some incredibly misogynist and problematic things. (Also, back then frank and mikey is really known for their misogyny towards female fans, not quite sure about gerard but apparently he also treated some fans like garbage.) So out of all those 5, Ray Toro is the only one that seems like the less problematic ones.
From what Bob has said in the past, he and Mikey are back on good terms! He allegedly apologized to him. I think the tweet is on his Twitter right now, I remember seeing it pretty recently.
