I love that every time Mike demos a pedal it's like the first time he's ever experienced anything like it. He's seems to always be so excited about it. He's like a big kid. It always makes my day to watch him.

"Being" and "feeling" like a kid is what kept Mike young at heart. That's one of the rarest qualities in a person: to manage to carry that child-like attitude throughout life!
I remember bumping into him back in the early 80's in Sam Ash store in Manhattan, where he brought one of his latest 'toys', plugging it into Ensoniq's Mirage and demonstrating it to the surrounding crowd.
I'm shocked to see him in this video virtually UNchanged almost 40 years later: same hair, same fire in the eyes and same great attitude!

Man, Mike is the real deal. First off, the guy seems to love music. Second, he is not only the CEO of a company but also a technical mastermind. Finally, he seems genuinely enthusiastic about his own product. Force of nature if you put it all together. Love my C9 so much I deep-sixed my GR-55 which in the end was a pain in the butt to use in a live situation. Keep on rockin' Uncle Mike.

No doubt about it at all - Mike Matthews is the coolest CEO of the coolest company. EHX are the best pedals out there - plain & simple. I'm hoping there are plans in NYC for a Mike statue...…..he sure deserves it for what he has done for rock and roll music over many decades. Those sounds we all love would simply not exist without him - think about that for a moment......

I just had a friend receive his and he put a yamaha reface yc through it and I couldn't believe the sound, he's an organist and using the drawbars and the lester K just blew me away

I just love how you and the EHX team make these pedals that are true to the actual sound. The Mel9 sounds exactly like a true Mellotron and the Lester sounds exactly like you're playing through a friggin Leslie speaker! I could never find a Leslie pedal that sounded authentic. I hope I can be able to buy both pedals in the near future. Great job Mike!

btw, my first EHX pedal was in 1970 when I was 14... twas a LPB-1 treble booster that was a small box w/a 1/4” male plug stickin out, dangling from my amp input, haha
Im 62 now and my latest EHX purchase is a Super Ego+ ..... what fun... Ive got a bunch, but lost the LPB-1 somewhere along this journey... lol
