@@yuvanjayakumar9337 I’m pretty sure that doesn’t actually happen as nobody on earth is interfering with Omni Man and Invincible because nobody knows what is going on because not a single person suspected Omni Man of anything.
Except The Immortal of course.
It's very rare for a writer to get a opportunity to do it all again. The Invincible TV series is Robert Kirkman's way of rewriting Invincible and fixing the problems.
But somehow making amber a more hatable character than any villain.

Because great though it was, the comic is FAR from perfect. This adds so many little moments for so many characters. I think Debbie being the best example.

Whomever decided to make Omni-Man's eyes bloodshot in the animation is a genius.
In the comics, Omni-Man was never really affected by any of the Guardian's attacks. Thankfully, in the animated series, they made the Guardians seem like more of a threat (albeit not much more) so the scenes are a little more tense because you can actually entertain the belief that they might come out on top.

@@c1eanpow3r Yeah, he actually matches Omni-Man in the strength department. Just doesn’t have the durability or combat experience dealing with people of comparable strength.

Most of the episodes are written by the same guy who wrote the comics so…

The show’s dialogue improved the comics imo, replacing “son” with “Mark” works much better and having Mark swear where original Mark didn’t improved the emotional impact of the scene imo

It's both more brutal and more heartfelt in the TV series.
I'll be damned, every time I hear Mark say "I'd still have you", I shed a tear. The poor boy is so attached to his father that he can't let go of the image he had of him. I genuinely relate to Mark... because my father is the same.

I love how they faithfully adapt the dialogue from the comic into the show! This is something that adaptations should work on more, it’s amazing!
Most anime adapted from manga do that. But yeah, it would be cool if most western adaptations of comics did that, although the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie did adapt the dialogue from the comics quite faithfully
To be fair, Its mostly because they got the same exact writer from the comics doing this adaptation. Alot of the times when its another person, thats when things get lost in translation

“What will you have after 500 years!” And “you dad” “I’d still have you” is so profound and beautiful and horrifically sad. Same blood but different upbringing and perspectives.

Me too! Definitely the most impactful lines in the show, so far. Those words really get through to Nolan.
(spoiler) the last page of invincible is just mark talking to himself , and saying my dad once asked what would you have after 500 years mark looks at everything he has achieved and chuckles

And in the memes it's think mark think again .
I think it works better. Im imagining him saying the original and it sounds a bit forced.

Yep since the revised line isn't just about Mark resisting now.
Yeah, this line implying that Nolan himself after the Earth changed him consider this actions horrific
Idk they both work. The original line makes him feel more like a soldier while the new one is more like a father.
I like how show omni-man and his quotes are way more impacting and emotional.
I like how when Nolan hears that second "dad" he gasps a bit when he realizes what he did to his own son
And he cries like a little girl while fleeing to space :)

Just the reason why JK Simmons was picked for Omni-Man his gruff voice was perfect for this seemingly heroic but really a supervillian character
I like how the fights against Omni Man in the show are much more balanced with him taking a lot of damage instead of just automatically flooring the opponent
Like how in the comics he one shot the guardians but in the show they actually would have had a chance at winning
The casting and performance for every character in this show is PERFECT!!! It blows my mind!
One of the reasons why I love this show so much and why I like it more than the comics is because of JK Simmons' performance.
As a fan who read the comic before the show premiere, the anticipation was unexplainable!! Thank you for staying true to the source material Amazon💙!

Compared to the comic Omni mans hand motions add a lot. I’m sure they added it in to make him seem more emotional and like he’s really thriving to “hammer” home what he’s trying to show his son.
TV show certainly adds more details and character to the events. Love it.

I have a feeling the “true education” is what Nolan went through, probably worse.
Mark saying "Dad" dented Nolan deeper than any punch he recieved on that episode. He proved Omni-man the whole reason Mark was so stubborn.
Funny thing is I think Nolan could've easily one shotted Mark, but he was simply trying to convince him.
Series dialogue is better, Nolan seems more emotional, and you see the struggle and anger in his voice, comic version just seems cold

This video does a solid job of showing how you have to change dialogue when adapt a comic book to the screen.
The ending of this scene gets me every time.
Mark’s voice actor knocked it out of the park. What an incredible performance in this episode.

It must be so incredibly difficult to have to rewrite a piece of media for a different medium while still keeping context- especially since some lines are actually kept verbatim.
It is wonderful to see that a show can elevate source material instead of turning it into a shameless cash grab.
I like how they change certain dialog and how characters interact but still keep the major plot points
Best show in a while, it's going to get even better! Can't wait for season 2

This is what every adaptation should strive to do. Not remove existing plot points, not change them, but strive to be faithful to the original and improve what's already there
I started from reading memes to loving this show. I can't wait for Season 3.

So, "Think, Mark. Think!" was actually the original dialogue in the comic book. So it's not really a Mandela effect so much as quoting a different source.
Imagine if Hail Mary, the reanimen and Immortal took on Omni-man at the same time

I think Robert Kirkman simply has it out for Steven Yeun. He made the shows significantly more brutal than the original comic scenes.

Dispite their differences, I still enjoyed Invincible either way both Comic and/or Show, it makes no difference to me lol.
The show and comic are great, but the show does improve the dialogue more
Omniman was crazy broken in the comics, it should have remained like that because he is supposed to be an elite viltrumite, even above Conquest. Idk how are they gonna animate when he beats another 3 elite viltrumites in the insect planet; if immortal gave him that much trouble, then is gonna be a little bit weird that the viltrumites are as strong as they are portraid the invincible unvierse.
Tbh, Omni Man was attacked a lot beore fighting Immortal, he got lasered, fought the Kaiju monster etc. If those things didn't happen, he would probably get rid of him much faster.
