Stargate always feels like home to me.

The music plays a big part of that feeling. It gives the movie and tv show a classic adventure feel

syfy ruins everything. They start SGU and then they're all like, "Awww, just kidding!" and shut it down. However, we should be thankful that they didn't end it the way they did Highlander (Highlander: The Source). That was just the most lame-ass thing any network executive as ever approved of.

If we could just have ONE miniseries that gives us closure on SGA and SGU at the same time, that would be bliss.

Biblically when God created the land came up from the deep( usually meaning water/sea). If a ministry is following true scripture then that ministry is in alignment as in agreement. There is a type tranquillity a kin to peace. The true peace is when the individual has understanding & is aligned with true scripture. Science must prove it out bc truth eventually surfaces from the lies keeping it hidden. Peace is not found in ministries agreeing, but in Jesus. Seek the truth & you will have the truth. Peace is in the perspective of the individual. Even in chaotic terror the calming peace comes slowly, but it comes. MERCY COMES RUNNING.

Hey, just a thought, the Vanir, the Pegasus Asgard, once had intergalactic hyperdrives, but they lost it all defending themselves from the Wraith, and couldn't build any of them from the materials they had in the Pegasus galaxy. So why don't the SGC give them their intergalactic hyperdrives, arn't they based on Asgard technology, though it's a litt;e bit downgraded but still, the Asgard can upgrade it, and find the Destiny with those superfast hyperdrives.

Destiny is too far away, having travelled for fifty million years using FTL technology that is the equivalent of the intergalactic hyperdrives.
It has 9 points due to the fact that a true Octave has 9 points not 8. I named it Octave 9. The Army Corp of Engineers took all my researh, when they bull dozed my camp. They took two walls out of my treehouse and buried the rest.

We literally watch SG1 what is really happening in real life! Antarctica also has some weird stuff beneath the ice, massive structure made if a dark basalt stone, including a Stargate down there.
But listen closely to this guy, he is telling us that he used the original Stargate that was found in Egypt in 1928 and they are going to use it in the film and use it again. Pay attention to the keywords.
Summary of Chevron Addresses:
7 chevrons dials a planet in the galaxy.
8 chevrons dials another galaxy.
9 chevrons dials a specific Stargate.
This is more real than you know, I created a Stargate using frequencies , the Army Corp. Of Engineers took my research and blueprints. Its name is Octave 9.

I see the movie as completely separate from the show. As both the movie & the show are different & loosely connected. Because if you watch the movie, I feel as if they storyline carried on it would of been different. There wouldn't of been Jaffa's or gould. If you look at Ra, his true form looked like a grey alien with sharp teeth, not what we see on the show. I'm a big fan of both though.
SG:U fall because at start was to much "talky" and to much "psychology". There was not so fun without sci fi action and adventure like it was in SG1. And than show start way in good way, than they put more humor and action they cancel it. :P AND STILL THERE IS NO STARGATE GAME god damn! Dont let the SG world die! :(
we love stargate, i think one of the best shows
I loved SGU, but it had way too much drama and was way too serious. SG1 and SGA had the best chemistry and humor in a tv show. SG1 was the most funny sci-fi shows on tv (mostly due to Richard Dean Anderson) and you could really sense the connection and attraction between John & Teyla in SGA. To be honest, I would have preferred that they made the SGA movie that they had in development several years ago. Would love to see how the story would continue and if John and Teyla would - finally - end up together.
On the other hand, SGU certainly had its moments, as Eli and Chloe sure had their fair share of chemistry, though she ended up with another guy eventually. Shame, I really liked the pair and hoped Chloe and Eli would become a couple eventually. In a sense, I did hope SGU was going to renewed for at least another season. But since the show didn't get the audience the other shows got (and due to MGM's bankruptcy) they had to cancel it. Which sucks, indeed. :(
Chloe made her choice not to be with a beta male, she went for the Alpha male like they typically do in real life, so her choice to do this was based in reality and not fantasies like most shows are created nowadays.
I've been waiting for an easy way to sell this show to my other friends.

The Ancients set up stargates that would bring you thousands of light years across space to other planets from one gate to another. Then how did they get those stargates to those other planets in the first place?
It's explained in SGU.The Ancients had unmanned ships cross galaxies and drop off stargates on habitable planets.

The "given" explanation: low ratings (although they weren't actually that bad compared to ratings of other series at various points; plus the entire industry was in transition and people were getting their entertainment in other ways, from alternate sources. Meaning? The ratings, especially the way they tallied them, were not even a valid, accurate and reliable method to gauge interest and support)
Oh shut up, there's no doubt SGU is very different, but it is good. Just takings awhile to get use to it.
Every series has something unique to offer: SG-1 is the classic SciFi story, with highlights on war, politics and morality issues when humanity has gained significant advantages to present life; SG:A is a story of humanity in a new environment and our capability to adapt fast and strong; SG.U is a more modern approach, realism and documentary-like filming making it a whole new experience, in addition to the psychological element.
The fact it all seems possible makes SG my favourite franchise.
I wish that they'd do more Stargate. Love it, there will never be a show like it again!

Loved this series.Was never a strong fan of the other Stargate franchises but this one 'Stargate Universe' was bloody AWESOME!! Still sad it was cancelled. :-(

@demo4eva dude i agree sg1 was cool sgatlantis was better because u find more about the ancients and sgu is cooler still cause they are on an actual ship that makes and drops off stargates and they are zipping around the universe and this ship has aurora class energy weapons on it and it recharges by flying into a sun u gotta admit thats pretty cool
Actually the Destiny doesn't manufacture or deposit stargates. It is the seed ships ahead of them that did all that work, exploring the galaxies, locating the habitable worlds, the resources, and plotting the course for Destiny. It also predates aurora class tech. And they weren't so much zipping around the universe and following a charted course through it. But i agree with you 100% about it being the coolest!!!
SG1 was hands down the best. They way they portrayed the Ancients was a cop out. Yeah, they just happened to look like humans. Such terrible fanservice.

I’m watching the series for the first time & I’m barely on Season 6 of SG1. I gotta say I’m glad I picked to watch Stargate (movie) when I was drunk 😂.
I watched the original film a few months ago and despite the bad CGI, it was still a really good experience, I miss this show!

It looks like a component of the Falkirk Wheel. Instead of a loch gate to connect two canals of very different heights. It is exactly like that. Look it up. The concept itself would have been attainable even during ancient historical times. That it is based on the Archimedes principle proves that.

I agree Stargate Universe suck so much that its not even funny. They tried to get a new audience and they lost their fans and no one is going to watch that crap. Corporate greed killed Stargate. I watch when I have a chance in respect for the series hoping they actually write something worth watching.
Please bring back SG Universe and finish the story!

They canceled SG-1. They canceled Atlantis to focus on Universe then just canned Universe. :
Blaming SyFy is accurate and correct! It is their fault and they did it on purpose―killed the Stargate franchise.
They didn't actually cancel Atlantis to focus on SGU, but that's really unimportant at this point.

It's strange how the Stargates have 9 triangles,
but the writers never thought to use 2 of them until Atlantis and Universe.

its the thematic of Nirvana second album ! Seattle scene, Republic scene understood on a hight scale.
Destiny already visited earth and possibly terraformed it. Left a stargate on a now habitable planet and kept on going. Later The Ancients show up and use this planet as a stepping stone. We being the children of the ancients inherit this planet after they leave. Then come the Goa'uld and much of what we know of today as middle eastern religion. At some point we threw them off and buried the stargates. SG1 picks up in the present.
Here am I, getting old until SGU Season 3 starts... Already watched SG-1 2x, Atlantis, and now Origins :).... But... Do you plan to release it in this lifetime?

Stargate Universe is stargates version of startrek deep space nine. very different, it takes some getting used to, and in the end only the the true blue die hard fans will like it. every one else either hates it or simply tolerates its existance. And yes... SG1 and SGA ARE better.
In the end I consider SGU to be the best work of the creators in a number of ways. It was obviously very different, and they made some mistakes―quite a few actually. But I still think it was their best work. Great analogy with DS9, I've said the same for a long time!
They were JUST getting to the point where they could really start doing some amazing story telling on SGU when it was cancelled. I believe season 3 would've been phenomenal with some really unique, wonderful and captivating stories.

i assumed that these three stargates are the only gates outside the one we never got to see as the one that the Priors used in the Ori galaxy.
but i also assumed that the second version stargate's expand outside our own galaxy just like they did with SGU gate system, but they chose to stay within the milky way mostly, i mean the second version stargate could be found within the Asgard galaxy which is outside our galaxy, so it's entirely possible that the second version gates were also sent with automated seed ships seeding multiple galaxies, however we don't know if they sent out a destiny style class ship to also go on that journey.
@@5226-p1e I had a few ideas how they can easily introduce 3-4 more galaxies with different functions. Stargate is a great storytelling device.

@@5226-p1e I have a dedicated brainstorming thread called "Milky way in 2020" in GateWorld forum's fanfction section. I can't link it as the forum got issues currently. I tried to imagine rather technology related ideas. Official writers are not allowed to read fan ideas anyway.
- we would meet a hologram / entity which lives in the DHD chrystals and used to serve as a "tour guide" so he he/she could be a genie type of character which serves as a MALP unit
- we would discover a new vehicle which can rebuild itself around the stargate system as it would use the gate system as a "stargate drive" - but hostile forces can also spawn ships around spacegates in wrong hands
- Asgard gate system would have purple chevrons, runes as glyphs, chevrons work as a sensors as the local wormholes have a disintegrating protection because of the Replicators so the Asgard rathet beamed themselves through the event horizon - this could lead some adventures how could they visit Earth
- we would see expandable stargates which were developed in the Ori galaxy - these gates can fall into 9 pieces and extend their own inner diameter so even an al'kesh / tel'tac sized ship can pass through
- we would discover more about the Oannes race (Omoroka and Nem) - Omoroca would be the Lady of the Lake from the Arthurian lore, later we will find out how they could suspend the safety systems of the Milky Way gates and they started to flood worlds to destroy the Goa'uld. They were the ones who flooded the Antarctic outpost to seal Earth from Ra. Omoroca story would have been told in a Stargate Origins : Omoroca story where Hathor and Baal would have been present too. We could learn how Baal's host was Gilgames in the mythology and how he became a Goa'uld via the Sumerian myths.
- one of the new main plot would be the search for "Clava Thesaura Infinitas", the Treasure of Infinite Knowledge which was the Great Library of Alexandria and technicall speaking it was the control hub of the gatebsystems. Ancients used this place to monitor gate activities, but later this hub was "stolen" and removed from the Milky Way
- we could find a galaxy where the Great Four races rescues different animals and plants from the different eras of Earth from the last 50 million years. This galaxy would have their own problems and why the "gardens" (planets)
- the Nox also shielded in transphase many worlds from agressors so even new aliens could be re-introduced in Milky Way this way. We could hear more stories how planets were selected for planting gates, what ethical conflicts caused debates between the Great Four Races as caretakers regarding interfering evolution. We could discover how the gatesystems were used in their own galaxies as we could have a Nox, an Asgard and a Furling controlled galaxies where the local gates were modified for their own use afer the fall of the Ancients
- we could find a galaxy where some of them mythological creatures were rescued / separated. We could find out that the Goa'uld Hephaistos was not just simply blacksmithed the weapon of the gods, but he created new host races for them which were later killed by the Systemlords. Then the Nox helped them to hide or to be relocated to hidden worlds (like a Noah's Ark story)
- we could have more stories about the influence of Furlings on Earth as they established the megalithics cultures
- the Giant Aliens could also return with all the humans in their galaxy where they transported them with the Chyrstal skulls as we always have to explain why humans are still there in any new galaxies
So anyway I had a few ideas there for a few spinoffs while I wanted to mix the existing lore elements. I would like to see more alien first contacts, more adventures, more explorations without turning into more StarWars or StarTrek type of space battle orientated franchise. They can tell stories in such genres what they want. If they could have the led wall technology then we could see really cool alien landscapes as well. We will see what Brad Wright will come up in the fourth show.

I have SG1 complete, all the movies and first season of SGA. To many personal conflicts and military in SGU. Never got into it. Wish I could be in the SG1 team!
