    I did this same job just had to replace the seal. Haha ya I ended up having to take the whole front end apart. Your right you don't want them pistons to rotate at all really. It will ruin a day like you said. There a pin in there you don't want falling out.

    Looks like Blake has some good sense about him. Seems to have a good grasp of, just the right amount of adjustment, on that housing and jack. Made it look easy, and I know a critical touch is needed.

    Great vids! For some reason I can watch your vids for quit awhile. Anyway, figured I'd try to give you my 2 cents for watching. Free storage containers: empty coolant jug, cut the side off so it's kinda like a drain bucket, then 6 empty oil quarts cut at about the 450ml and put those in the coolant jug now you have 6 space container you can leave at the job or whatever. 2nd a small 1/4" socket like 11/32" (that hardly get used) and wrap about 1/4" electrical tape around, makes taping tight spots nice. Those are my two tips haha thanks.

    Have any ideas what this problem could be? Old ass Massey Ferguson shovel loader perkins 4 cylinder. Was ran out of fuel one time and hasn't been straight since. Replaced fuel filter. Bled fuel got it running and will idle all day, drive it around the yard and hit a bump and it shuts off and you have to bleed it again. Drive it and fowards and go to back up and it shuts off and has to be bled again. Cant figure it out

    The steer looks to be a good design. But why couldn’t they incorporate some sort of a stop so they can’t come out? Dirty tricks! This is probably in the manual. But I’ve run into thinks like this that wasn’t is the manual! Sennebogen is noted for that!

    • @cav551
      @cav551 4 года назад +2

      The Drop arm ( steering arm) is really heavy, he hit IT- not the bolt- because the whole weight of it is resisting the torque he is applying. He knocked it ever so slightly further up the spline and then found he was able to tighten the bolt further twice. It's the same principle with kingpins which are a taper fit in the axle, the thrust bearing adjustment will be too slack unless the weight the axle carries is applied to the pin (or for some designs the stub after the pin is fully home).
