It's so nice to know that one of my favourite authors has failed too. Gives me hope that I can overcome them too. Also Markus is like the nicest person ever. Met him at a literary meet. He is so gracious and nice to everyone

The Book Thief is my absolute favorite book. I’ve read it every summer since 2016 and I intend to continue doing so (I’m currently in the middle of my seventh read). Super grateful for Markus Zusak and his failures because they led to the beauty that is The Book Thief

im 7 years late... but im reading bridge of clay and ive already read the book thief. dont lose hope on bridge of clay it was confusing at first but after maybe 100 pgs it'll make sense
