Jumping straight in with the Diavolicchio Diamante Pepper - one of the most common varieties in Calabria, a region in the south of Italy. It is named after the town of 'Diamante' in Calabria and is pretty spicy for a 1st round pepper!
Hosted by Italian pepper royalty, Gianni 'Chilli Pepper King' Pellegrino, Arturo 'Mr Spicy' Rencricca & Enio Pepperman. The contest winner was awarded a trophy from Michele Casadei, Vicepresidente Fiera Rieti.
