      Hi P! Totally understand what you mean but I didn't create this movie to only be for the climbing community. I wanted to create a short movie that would inspire people also outside the climbing community. To tell a story, not just show Matilda climb another route. I wanted to share her process, first time she try's to project, her struggles and her highs, not to just film the route cm by cm. Matilda climbing Golden in this movie is a tool to tell a bigger story. To take on a challenge, to work towards a goal and continue toward that goal despite adversity. Something that could make people feel recognition, climber or not. Athlete or not. Hopefully that could inspire more people to find their way into climbing or just taking on a challenge despite fear of failure. / Sophie

      @pauborratrivera7251 5 лет назад +1

      @@sophieodelberg In this case the movie is spot on.
      It is just that I miss, besides the well told story, some minutes showing the actual climb (In my opinion climbing itself while giving it all is a methaphore of the culmination of projecting). I guess this would be a way to aim these film both to the general public and to the climbers. Anyway, it is just a viewer's opinion.
      Thanks again for your work!

    • @Gregorypeckory
      @Gregorypeckory 5 лет назад

      Pretty sad that you don't know anyone who likes their job well enough not to say "having a career isn't for me". She didn't say she didn't "love going to work"; she was clearly quite unhappy with her job.
      If you have a job you hate, it's a big world, so try something else. Easier said than done, I know, but having a happy life is worth putting some real effort into.

    • @ryanwsu4
      @ryanwsu4 5 лет назад +1

      @@Gregorypeckory i don't hate my job. its acceptable and quite tolerable, it allows me to do the things i want in life, like climb and have a few amenities. However, i think being a pro climber would be better, ill look into it. Maybe ill do that instead

    • @Gregorypeckory
      @Gregorypeckory 5 лет назад

      @@ryanwsu4 That seems like a great idea; if you have enough passion to give yourself a solid chance, maybe it's doable, and if so, I imagine it would be transformative. Good luck!
