Brother, I am no expert feathersticker, but from my personal use I have found the v -edge to be easier in terms of consistency and predictability. I have compared two knives witht the same degree angles of convex and v-edge, both profiled and sharpened by me, and while the convex did beautiful feather it seemed a bit harder to maintain the cutting edge being engaged with wood compared to the v-edge. And of course the convex will maintain a better edge in general due to the geometry. I also recognise this may be a matter of individual preference, or what you are more used to. I also noticed the Ka-Bar you are using is factory sharp, which is mediocer at best. Would be good to see you do a comparison of similar edge angles on the same knife (the cold steel master hunter for example, which you have two of), sharpened to a mirror edge. Great content, I subsscribed :) Cheers!
@shane4176 yes, a head to head between a convex edge vs a v-edge, both sharpened at 30-34 (15-17 degrees per side). And, if possible, it would be best to do this with two identical knives. Cheers!

@wismods so 1 convex and one regular v grind comparison? Also thanks for the sub!
