When I first started quilting, my grandmother taught me how she coped with y seams. (She was a professional seamstress.) you hit the nail on the head! It’s important to mark the points.

You might have already said this but I am wondering how many yards of the background fabric do I need? Also I am making the big triangle blocks all red, not sure how to figure out how much of that I need, wishing I had paid more attention in math class:-)
What color are your blocks this time?
