In terms of script, everything is familiar. The legacy of humanity is that robots hope to restore the destroyed world after an abstract destructive war. And this should motivate us to be more careful with nature and more careful with technological progress. But I was very impressed with the quality and detail of all the models in the short. The robots and locations look extremely good and the painstaking work and enthusiasm are noticeable here. This is something to be praised for ! 😃👍
It mildly creeps me out how I know when a film was made in Blender before it's confirmed at the end, just by seeing the noise texture patterns on surfaces or how volumetrics look. I'm like "how do I have this power"?! Spending so much of your life with a software can give you abilities you didn't think you could or should have 😄
Times are changing, and gradually our capabilities are becoming more and more impressive. And despite all the difficulties, people really manage to develop in this direction, and this is great. True, current prices for electronics are not at all reassuring...

Когда идёт по песку, следы есть, но когда идёт по бархану, следы не остаются. Камеру просто можно было в другом ракурсе поставить, чтобы этого не было видно. Дерево на последних кадрах в статике, не хватает движения листьев на ветках. Так же я думал, что собирали сцену в анриал, в титрах указана программа блендер, что меня удивило. В целом, когда эта работа сделанна одним человеком, это колоссальный объём. Сейчас мало людей, которые могут потратить столько времени на работу, моё уважение.

I remember once seeing this stop-motion animated short film on RUclips where God lands on an alien planet & he performs a puppet show creating Adam & Eve for the native alien species. At the end of the puppet show when Adam & Eve eat the fruit from the tree, God throws them off the stage onto the planet & the he travels through space to a new planet where he prepares to perform the next puppet show. I can't remember what the name of that aninated short was, but I hope someone else does & knows where it can be watched.
This was confusing because I remember to see a multiverse version on DUST were God creates Eve and Adam on his computer. But the Animator is definitely a french version of the bible based on the pronunciation.
Great flick but I'm a little unclear about something. Was it a war between humans and robots or a war between square robots and round robots? And why did you give them shoes? Feet yes. Stability is good but the shoes just catch crap. Doesn't make sense Maybe 2 things 🤔
Several things are... could be better. The rubble is too uniform. Needs larger bits, needs to be dirtier etc. Go look at WW2 pictures of Germany, would give a perfect baseline to extrapolate. Everything in general, is too clean. The robits are too 2000's fresh, and they need more damage, scarring, and in general, less gloss varnish. Also, the noises are ... eh. Personal taste, but they could either be better or different. I liked the head related ones, not so much the rest, it's been done to death. I'd look up industrial sounds relating to hydraulics, be that motors or pressure maxing stuff. The sound of walking is clearly through round pebbles, they're walking in concrete dust and rubble. It needs a different sound entirely. Chain > Matrix Zion's gate chain. Nuff said. Also, if that system is intended to block dust, it opening without any kind of countermeasure, would eventually clog it. So a perfect opportunity to add more visual and audio cues would've been pressurized air pushing dust out of the gate's "teeth" wells. Also, give it a bit more mechanical vibe, add some sort of dual locking pals reaching to a central rotating thing, big flood gates sometimes have it. I've been to Sahara. That robit wouldn't make it 3 feet into the desert proper. The dust would swallow it. Would've been nice to give it some sort of alteration. Either by its own volition or its own design. Something akin to snow shoes. Also... dust. Boy, you walk in there in the wind and dust just gets everywhere. No... it really does, it's coarse and it's horrible. Post dust storm, you should've given the robit a bare metal look, abraded by sand. And i'm not joking, it really happens. I saw a decrepit truck, forgotten somewhere in the center of the Northern part of Sahara. It had been there a while, but it was bare metal in one direction, the guide told us that even a single storm could do the same depending on how fast the winds were. You can use (for reference, pictures of downed WW2 airplanes - great shots online of abraded paint, bare metal polished clean). Same goes for glass. If you've seen shot glasses with motifs drawn into the face, that's about the same. So robit's camera would be done for unless protected .
From the view of a non Filmaker but a person who appreciates good cinema, that was captivating!
