It would be great if you could get a mic or maybe crowdsource one. The audio is super low in headphones

What accommodations do you get at your University/school/place of work that I did not cover in this video?

Great video! Because of my disabilities, I didn't even make it through high school but I had some accommodations there too... it's really important to know what help are we entitled to and what our schools are able to offer us so we're able to study there. :) We need to advocate for ourselves because no one else will do it for us (usually)... This video will be definitely helpful to many students!
Can I ask how you manage to study with ADHD and if you're taking meds for it? I have ADHD too and it made my school years hell so I can't imagine going to university with it... and I'm really afraid of the meds because of my physical health/disabilities, apparently it can worsen some of the stuff(?). Sorry if it's too intrusive question, please ignore it if you don't want to talk about it! ❤️
Sending lots of love, thank you for your work. :) ❤️

Thank you so much for your comment and sharing your experience! I am so sorry that you weren’t given the right access to accommodations to support you in high school - you are so right in that schools need to be more forth coming about the supports they’re able to provide. It shouldn’t be this way but alas it is.
As for how I managed my ADHD and studying, my special interest was school and academic success so it was very hard for me not to do school work…I used to cry and breakdown when I was sick and had to stay home from school. I’m sorry I don’t have better tips because now that I am no longer interested in school it is significantly harder for me to stay focused. I can’t give medical advice, but when it comes to medication and interaction with other conditions it is extremely important to have direct and honest conversations with your providers about everything you have going on, in addition to being very careful and mindful of any changes you experience with the medications to share with your doctor if it is ever something you decide to try.

@@immarollwithit It should definitely be easier to get accommodations, I agree.
I'm sorry that studying got harder for you and I understand you don't have any better tips. :) I talked about it (the ADHD meds) with my medical providers but the problem is that they barely understand most of my conditions and they're like "it may be negative but it also may not be negative", so I constantly feel like it's up to me to research and decide which makes me a little bit stressed, not gonna lie. So at this point I know if I choose it they would prescribe it to me but I'm not sure yet, so I'm searching for people's experiences, reading stuff, and still carefully deciding. :)

Sounds like you have a very good case manager. Can you elaborate? Where did you obtain their services etc.?

Great video on accessibility, however I would like to point out that you’re looking off camera instead of to camera like your Tiktoks and it looked a bit strange.

thank you for the feedback, I do tend to look around when speaking and with tiktok being such short form it’s easier to maintain eye contact

@@immarollwithit oh I thought it was because you literally had the camera to side because you did a good of maintaining eye contact it just wasn’t front facing to (camera) us.

@@immarollwithit is your lack of eye contact here related to your Autism?
