Hey Folks welcome back, This one has taken many return visits to this spot to get enough footage that im happy with in order to provide the best breakdown on cornering and hopefully explained easily enough for you all to boost your turning confidence and increase your overall ability’s on the trail.. Enjoy and please comment below if you feel I missed something or more importantly if you feel you can and will benefit and progress from these 3x Key aspects. HAVE FUN AND RIDE ON CREW.
Nice vid. One of the few cornering vids on RUclips that recommends outside foot down in berms. This is how I was coached. Most vids suggest level pedals but I think you can keep your line better with outside foot down
Thanks Bob, yes I do believe it is faster and offers more stability and control.. Many MTBers dont utilise this as 'I THINK' you really only pick this up from a BMX race back ground.
Cheers Steve. Berms are always easier as you do have the transition on your side for gravity, flatter turns are harder and do require a shift in body and pedal position.. Once you work out how to rail berms nicely flatter turns will certainly become easier..
Great video Craig, that was very interesting. The footage at the beginning was awesome. Great work as always mate, I always learn something on your channel, I like that. Thanks for your content and keep up the good work bro. Ride on and have a nice week🤙
Hey Nick, thanks for chiming in. YES I urgently want to do one on drops, actually I did app 12 months ago but was just never really happy with it so it just sits in the file. Thats the next one ill do 💯
Nice cheeky product plug! I was all set to try the Michelin Wild Enduro a little while back, but couldn't find any stock. Perennial problem with bike parts these days.
Hey Pat, I started this video 6 months ago, ive gone back 2 or 3 times adding and filling in gaps to finish this, 6 months ago stock wasnt as bad as now. I have in fact just gone to a set of VEE TYRE HPL & ATTACKS and loving the similarities to the Michis..
Just your usual great work champ 👌🏼Easy to understand shit that works 💪🏼 PS Your starting to get some interesting characters in your comments section 😂😂
Cheers mate, just what I really needed as Im finding, Im too slow around berms & losing momentum coming out of berms. would love to one day just be able to turn without losing speed.. look forward to more of your How To's...
Thank you for giving me the inspiration to get back on a bike big fella, and whenever I am feeling a bit lazy & un motivated I just watch some of your vids & I am ready to go again. No dirt at this stage, just a bitumen cowboy but can do pretty good wheelies ........
Griff thanks for the words my friend, means a lot and helps me to believe the channels heading in the direction I plan it to.. Doesn’t matter where you ride or what you ride, just ride and life gets better….
So that’s what I’ve been doing wrong….I don’t have Michelin Tyres😂😂😂😂. I did some berm practice on Monday at daisy hill, I went slow and steady and seemed to pull,it off. But as always these how to videos always give me food for thought on how I can not only improve but feel more confident to increase my speed on entry into berms.
Thanks Kev, yep thats the idea on this video is to help with knowing the key functions and then for you to apply and progress.. You Like my Michi comment huh😬
@@FlowmentumMTB I saw the cheeky grin when you made the Michi comment, also whilst on Monday I looked the part of an awesome MTB rider in my new gear, I was still a below average MTB rider 😂😂😂😂😂
@@FlowmentumMTB I did learn one thing on Monday maybe shouldn’t have worn a 3/4 length jersey….Fark it was hot on the trails and it wasn’t from my riding……I still need to work on my nemesis feature the chipline rock garden…that lil bitch gets me every time 😂😂😂
Great advice there 👍 First time I threw my weight over the front of a dirt bike in berms and flat turns, made a huge difference. Same applies on MTB 💯%
Thanks Mick, yeah its certainly the biggest issue with riders. Tyres are designed to increase traction as the load or weight increases.. So easy to say, harder to apply..
@@FlowmentumMTB Absolutely, takes commitment. I'm still working on it with MTB. Occasionally my instinct tells me to throw a leg out, but I try to reserve that for sketchy moments 😄
Unfortunately there is none available until late January, unless you s ore big time in a shop that has some. It seems that Overall popularity of the Tyre and post COVID issues have made them extremely difficult to obtain.

Good video friend🥰🥰
Ivan my man thank you very much 👊
Great tips Craig - Really well explained!
Thank you kindly Darren.
Haha ..... the Michelin comment near the start 😜
A shameful plug lol..

Appreciate your comments, they will keep coming 💯
Thanks for the video and tips.
I am having trouble with building confidence to carry speed into and through corners, both flat and berms.

Thank you Sir Christoph, my pleasure. I hope you can learn from the videos, even if just a little bit.. Stay rad and enjoy the weekend.
@@FlowmentumMTB In any case, there is always something to learn, and learning from you is an honour Craig. Take care and ride on
Great Video👍🏽👌🏼 Thanks for this!🙏🏻
Thank you 👊
Awesome video man! I’m gonna use these tips on tomorrows ride 👊🏻
My pleasure, get out there and get into it..
Love the “how to’s” mate. Would love to see one on your drop technique

Cheers mate, the key to maintaining exit speed all relies on your entry, stay wide and maintain a consistent line, lean in and trust your tyres.
I use Michelin tyres but I’m shit at berms. I’m coming up this year to blast and learn some skills from you. ✌️
Sounds good, let me know when. When you say this hear, you mean next right?

Killer advice and video Fisho! I definitely need to apply this to my cornering as it’s probably pretty shocking 😂
We will see whats going on when I see you Friday, lets get you smashing it bro 💪👊🤟
