Thanks for showing how to use this, i already pulled my v6 engine a little up without the manifolds. I replaced a oil pan in a Chevy Venture 3.4 2002 .

How many inches did u have to raise it? Was it still a tight fit to remove and reinstall the pan? I may have to do this on my RWD van and am very reluctant to tackle this bear of a project

Need one of these for motor mounts. I understand I can just jack up the engine and leave it on the jack......but now I see that this is a safety device in case the jack fails. Maybe I can just use my flat-top jack stands to place under the engine. Nah, might cause damage of the jack fails.

I got one of these, it's not terrible. A little dupont dry lube on the threads makes them feel a lot better and don't attract dirt.
It's not perfect and the finish on mine had some bubbles out of the box, the welds aren't beautiful but they are holding ,for under $100 it's worth it.
I also made and printed out of tpu those rubber spacers, just if I happen to lose one like someone did at my work.

Good tip! I agree for the price it’s fine, and I still use mine monthly

@@Motorcarnut glad to see it has hung in there for you. I haven't used mine much. I try to avoid doing too much outside of work. Gotta relax and spend time with my wife and kids, you know.
I have used it 3 times to change motor mounts on 2 and 1 to reseal a upper oil pan that requires the cross member to be lowered.
