  • Shinzen responds to the question, "How does your 'Rest States' relate to the classical jhanas?" He goes on to say that he likes people to work with tangible sensory experiences, and gives six restful states in the objective and subjective world - relax, light, silence, peace, blank and quiet.

    I never made the connection between Focus on Rest and the Samadhi (Yogic term for absorption) states. Unified Mindfulness is awesome powerful.

      @@SherKhan0122 hate to be the guy but technically there is positive and negative feedback. Positive feedback often leads to resonance catastrophe :)
      Ironically for any amplifier to work properly you need some negative feedback... damping..

    why would you need to alter a tchnique that is already perfect ? Buddha taught a simple a perfect method just use it
