O'Sullivan met Robertson in the final. From 2-5 behind, O'Sullivan won seven frames in a row, finishing with a break of 141 in the 14th frame, to defeat Robertson 9-5 and equal John Higgins's record of four Welsh Open titles. It was O'Sullivan's 28th ranking title, which put him in joint second place with Higgins and Steve Davis for the number of career ranking titles.
Playing Barry Pinches in the first round, Ronnie O'Sullivan declined the opportunity to make a maximum break, describing the £10,000 prize money on offer as "too cheap". He potted the pink off the penultimate red and made a 146.

Ronnie was phenomenal having already won the Masters a few weeks back, thrasing Barry Hawkins 10-1 from a frame behind. Low ranked players include Barry Pinches and Jimmy Robertson before we get to the quarter finals and a date with Mark Selby again from the Masters and it was the same result in favour of Ronnie. Perhaps his hardest match in the semi final was against Joe Perry (a previous Crucible semi finalist). He eventually won it and faced Neil Robertson in the final. Neil was on recovery mode after his epic Masters loss to Judd Trump in a deciding frame, probably the best non O'Sullivan match ever seen. He had already won the UK Championship and led O'Sullivan in the first session. The latter turned the match around, topped off with a century break to claim his fourth Welsh Open title, repeating 2014's Masters/Welsh Open double.

its like hes playing a different game to every other world class player ....everything is effortless ,other players have to work to get a big break

His standard in this tournament was ridiculous, he could've probably had about 15 centuries!

Can you make the same video of the victory on Welsh Open, only with John Higgins?

    • @homeofsnooker147

I am afraid that few people will be interested in it.

@@homeofsnooker147 And you ask this question in the community, and it will already be seen whether they will be interested in watching such a video or not.
