I suffer from depression and panic attacks, so that "something" monster that followed Sunny around until he calmed down and took a deep breath felt VERY relatable to me. I guess that's the magic of good storytelling, everyone can relate to different aspects of it, regardless of what you specifically suffer from or deal with :D

Well Omori sure is an interesting character. Not as expressive as the others, neutral, like after battle, when everyone else is cheering but he still has his regular expression. His colour is black. Also when releasing energy, Omori’s shadow is black as well, and he’s holding a dangerous weapon, a knife. Others aren’t holding anything as dangerous as him. I like this game, can’t wait for the 2nd part :D

@@kirikiwichan6123 I’m late but basically sunny accidentally pushed Mari down the stairs and killed her and the violin is sunnys and at the end of the game there’s a scene called the final duet where sunny fights omori and either wins or dies. If you die and give up you get one of the bad endings where you jump off the hospital building and die. The good ending is sunny telling his friends that he killed Mari and sunny gets the light in his eye back and both basils and sunnys something disappear.

I've got a weird feeling about mari... She may look cute, helpful, and the positive type but it's kinda weird she doesn't wanna go with you and when basil saw a picture of mari everything went spooky. Not only that in the real world you can see a dark and scary figure pretending or could possibly be mari... Edit: she can also go to places before you even go there

My first thought when Omori opened his journal was "Yeahhhh, this kid has depression." At first, I thought the game was really cute and adorable. However, after Basil found the photograph and the flashback sequence and the house IRL, I really took notice of how the photograph was set out like a shrine to a loved one. There are little details like that in this cute dream world everywhere. So, suffice to say, I'm putting the playthrough on hiatus until I experience this myself.
Manly your like the BobRoss of odd/indie horror games . I can watch these before i fall asleep and be relaxed and sometimes i do fall asleep , but in a good way. So soothing and relaxing , and rarely ive heard you shout or scream so i dont wake up startled. Keep doing you buddy

I hate to spoil anything about the game right now, but the best advice I can give is to constantly water Basil's flowers for these dream sequences. You'll be thanking yourself afterwards once the time comes

I learned about this game when I was twelve years old. My first memories with it were listening to Kerli's raindrops over the trailer (because the music was too scary/depressing for baby me). Fast forward, quarantine's rotting my hormonal teenage brain, I randomly think of this game and check up on it. It's out. For once, something I liked as a kid had a payoff. It didn't die or rot or drain money forever. It came out. I'm happy. I- just haven't felt that level of happiness for a while. Just something I realized watching Manly play this game.
This game kinda hit me. When I was really young is had recurring dreams about a white space, the dream always end in a chaotic way. Every time I wake up from that particular dream I always feel uneasy.

When the game released i was like "manly is totally going to play this game, the video will come out super quick!". And then some days passed and i thought maybe he didn't wanted to play, and now there's a video. I've been surprised this whole journey
omg there r so many little clues already..... the flower in the sunflower patch that represented basil was the only one wilted and the short screen when his sunny's computer glitched was a distorted picture of the eye monster that keeps appearing. i didnt understand a lot of stuff like finding stuff in watermelons and the cat-shaped hole and all the stuff at the start. maybe it just means omori has adhd (i think a common couple with anxiety and/or depression)? it's more of an easter egg, but the four boys walking on railroad tracks playing on tv imitates an old pokemon scene... so cute... also, basils home is a shoe and the game keeps mentioning how he likes taking care of things, like the story about the old lady that lived in a shoe and had a bunch of kids lol- maybe in the real life he was more like a mother figure to sunny than his real mom was? its too early for accurate speculation but im in love with this game! these are just my own scattered thoughts, if anybody else noticed cool stuff id really like to hear! ^-^ (some parts really remind me of undertale...) 3 minutes in, had to take a moment, holy shit. that moment was too real. Not sure i can keep watching after that. The idea of "white space" and "Hanging out with friends" being the same is too dang real, MBH's upward inflection doesn't change that relatable feeling of being with others and being alone feels equally meaningless with depression. Not sure how the rest of it goes yet, but that hit me way harder than it should have.

Nah, she's genuinely nice. Spoilers OMORI is technically the real antag lol. Its kind of sunny vs omori, self vs self, refusing to accept the harsh reality, running away from your problems. So, in reality, the antag is not an actual individual
This is a pretty long game so if you wait for a couple episodes you will easily have 4+ hours of content to watch The game itself takes about 20 hours to complete so there will definitely be a ton of episodes.
I love this play though, you read everything out nicely and with a calming voice and are mostly serious about it but also add your own comments which are funny and nice!!! Thank you so much for this and I will sure watch the rest of them!!!!

My first thought when Omori opened his journal was "Yeahhhh, this kid has depression." At first, I thought the game was really cute and adorable. However, after Basil found the photograph and the flashback sequence and the house IRL, I really took notice of how the photograph was set out like a shrine to a loved one. There are little details like that in this cute dream world everywhere. So, suffice to say, I'm putting the playthrough on hiatus until I experience this myself.

I learned about this game when I was twelve years old. My first memories with it were listening to Kerli's raindrops over the trailer (because the music was too scary/depressing for baby me). Fast forward, quarantine's rotting my hormonal teenage brain, I randomly think of this game and check up on it.
It's out.
For once, something I liked as a kid had a payoff. It didn't die or rot or drain money forever.
It came out.
I'm happy.

Manly’s voice is so soothing, watching any play though he dose is very calming even if it’s a horror game.

I haven't experience the "white space" dream again for a while now, the dream only happens when I was early in elementary school.

omg there r so many little clues already..... the flower in the sunflower patch that represented basil was the only one wilted and the short screen when his sunny's computer glitched was a distorted picture of the eye monster that keeps appearing. i didnt understand a lot of stuff like finding stuff in watermelons and the cat-shaped hole and all the stuff at the start. maybe it just means omori has adhd (i think a common couple with anxiety and/or depression)? it's more of an easter egg, but the four boys walking on railroad tracks playing on tv imitates an old pokemon scene... so cute...
also, basils home is a shoe and the game keeps mentioning how he likes taking care of things, like the story about the old lady that lived in a shoe and had a bunch of kids lol- maybe in the real life he was more like a mother figure to sunny than his real mom was?

3 minutes in, had to take a moment, holy shit. that moment was too real. Not sure i can keep watching after that. The idea of "white space" and "Hanging out with friends" being the same is too dang real, MBH's upward inflection doesn't change that relatable feeling of being with others and being alone feels equally meaningless with depression.

OMORI is technically the real antag lol. Its kind of sunny vs omori, self vs self, refusing to accept the harsh reality, running away from your problems. So, in reality, the antag is not an actual individual

I know Omori is different, but it reminds me of End roll. I can never find a game that gave me the same impression End roll did. This series seems so promising that I might just play it and also watch this playthrough.
