I do hear the sound that has been mentioned. I'm usually using wireless mics, so it doesn't bother me, but can definitely see why it would bother some people.
I read a few months back that the autofocus has an AI software that reads your eyeball as to what you're looking at and then locks on the target. Out of every review video that I've seen, nobody has brought this up. Was that a false article that I read? I see the viewfinder is HUGE now. So why else would that be then?
Yes it has Eye Control autofocus. It is working wonderfully for me. I'm hooked, however I do have a button to quickly enable/disable it just in case it wants to hunt around.
There are many different approaches to autofocus in particular, and I find setup guides a good way to explore the options from serious photographers who’ve put a lot of thought and muscle memory into it. Also interesting to see different choices for portrait vs wildlife/bird photographers - most guides are for one or the other but I shoot all kinds of things.
Thank you for this great video!
Thanks for posting this, very useful!
Are you hearing whining sound from your r5m2?
I do, but I was expecting it based on early reviews. Doesn’t bother me at all, unless it’s determined to be a flaw! 😂

Anyone needs a setup guide for the R5II shouldn't own one...
