bro what you said about the sculptures on stephen ave is so dead on. I've never been satisfied with an angle photographing them. Also, super bummed I missed a foggy day. They're my favorite in YYC but so rare. Love the shot with the guy with the hat! and that's really smart programming a custom to silent shutter.
I’m so glad I’m not alone in shooting the sculptures, I’ve seen cool shots, I’ve tried shooting them multiple times and during different times of day and conditions… nothing. Calgary only ever gets the fog once or twice. The pictures you e got from the fog have been epic! There will be more when you get home 👐🏼
Fog squad!!! Let’s gooo!! What focal length did you find you used the most for the city stuff. Most looked wide? Average like 24? 35? Cool to see the thought process behind the photos. Invite me next time 😃
I would love for you to join! I will tell you next time. I believe most stuff was shot at 24mm or wider, I do love my Tamron 17-28. Thanks for watching!
Love when you do this style in Calgary! Also… why haven’t I thought of programming the silent shutter! I used to always shoot silent and swapped away when I realized it wasn’t great for certain thinks. But street… clever.
Thanks for watching! I think if you're turning on silent shutter often, and have a spare button to program, it can be beneficial. I like it for shooting in public so I'm not disturbing anyone.
Fog squad getting the moody city vibes! Love to see and hear other photographer’s processes when shooting. Great video Davey!
Squaaaaaad! Thanks man, more coming next week.
