FFS, I'm SO SICK of "photographers" not understanding basic optical physics, and constantly misusing the word "compression"... IT'S NOT COMPRESSION!!! It's FIELD OF VIEW (FOV)! A longer focal length does NOT "compress" anything; moving with your feet and changing position relative to your foreground, midground, and background, will alter the PERSPECTIVE of the scene, cause even that isn't "compressing" ANYTHING!!!
