I’m really enjoying your reviews of this show which is very very good. I may have to tune into some of the other dramas on Apple plus. I think we’ll see at least one more flashback to see exactly what else Catherine was doing prior to Nicholas and then Jonathan going into the water after him. Perhaps she injected him with something?? Maybe he also fell asleep & that’s how she did it?? That cross looking scar is very suspicious and my God those lifeguards were very very incompetent!! That boy could’ve been saved
I really hope they provide some context in later episodes for Nancy's book. The way she is painted as a 'hermit', it's hard to reason she went out and met with eye-witness'. Sadly without, it's what she 'believes' happened and we (the viewer), are the one's being fleeced.
Thanks for the review. Didn’t you find it suspicious that Jonathan did not simply hold on to the raft that the boy was in? No, you don’t clear the lungs before you do CPR. If the person is resuscitated, they will cough the water up when they regain consciousness. Also, a lot of people dry drown. I don’t think Stephen actually smelled something terrible. I think that was figurative. Jonathan and Catherine were not having sex in a bathroom. She lied and said she had to go to the bathroom. They were in a beach hut.
I saw it as him just trying to get Nicholas back. If he held onto the raft it might have capsized and Nicholas was already scared that he was there. Grabbing the rope let him pull it. It is weird he didn’t try to hold onto it when the other people came, but maybe he was already too tired.

True story! I think they have to put a little more context to the book. She clearly did her homework even though she was isolated.
