No one's talking about the MOST ESSENTIAL mod, the one that replaces the "Completed" and "Failed" mission ending text with "Rock N Stone" and "Ain't Comin Home" text
Correct. I run it all the time and sometimes forget that Glyphids and whatnot DON'T normally have eyes! The Spitball Infectors in particular are very funny.
I have nearly 48 mods active. Nearly every single one is just some silly meme sound. Grunts have Soldier voicelines from TF2. Praetorians have heavy voicelines from TF2. Swarmers Have Scout voicelines. Spitters have sniper lines. Taco Bell bong on vampire heal. eyo the pizza here resupply. Windows XP shutdown/startup on player down and revive. Mactera poo bombers. John Cena exploders. Balloon pop sound for shocker death. Tactical nuke incoming from MW for PGL. Spongebob large explosion sound for fatboy explosion. Half life health station sound for resupply. Googly eyed glyphids. Squeaky toy hammer for constructing. That's enough for now. Needless to say, the game is so much funnier. I don't need all sort of tacti-cool QoL mods, gimme me funni.
Yea it just depends what you’re looking for, if you want a more immersive game hud mods take away from that, but I wouldn’t say there is anything wrong with using hud mods to overwrite stuff the devs put in, cause sure they devs worked hard on those features, but they also worked hard on mod support, so taking advantage of that doesn’t seem like an issue to me
Just a few mods I can think of at the top of my head atm:- Build Inspector - allows you to see the builds people in the lobby are running, pretty useful if you want to synergize your own build with theirs especially in pubs. Combined Resources - allows you to see the resources the whole team have in their pockets currently, useful to know if you're missing that 1 fossil or boolo cap or not.
Don't run the live mission stat tracker and combined resources at the same time, they are in the same spot as eachother and it makes them both unreadable.
Simple QOL was life changing for me as It lets you filter missions based off of several filters including seasonal missions. and potential XP. No more guessing
The overheat indicator mod is super useful but i reccomend you tinker with it. I personally dislike that it is a full circle so i made it so it would be a half circle that only shows from below and grows from left to right. This way my view is almost never obstructed
here's some more: Better Explosion Range Indicator Cosmetic Restriction Remover Customizable Ally Outlines Better Bolt Indicator Platform Effect Indicator (shimmer) Unique Status Effect Icons + HUD Elements Glowing Lines and I really like this one that makes the shield more transparent "枪手护盾特效替换/Modified gunner shield effect"
these rather depend on the level of emersions you want, I personally turn off weapon UI so I have to stop just to look at the ammo counter on my gun tho I do admit keeping track of weapon heat in the worse heat of combat can be more than a handful
The platform placement preview mod honestly made me better at the game lmao, when I was testing out the experimental build my mods were all gone, but my understanding of the arc and where it would set itself still stuck in. I recommend any greenbeard to definitely use it when learning engi
you should also add the Clear Weakspot Hit Sounds mod, gives good feedback and teach me where weakspots are when it not obvious (like with the Naedocyte Breeder)
I was really skeptical clicking on this video. But these are actually amazing mods. I haven't tried any new mods after the first two months since the mod support update and now I see a reason to do so. Thank you!
The mission randomizer mod is an approved mod that adds a lot of modifiers, new primary and secondary objectives, a lot of customization, a new type of mission (decontamination) and it can randomize the amount needed (i.e. i found a mission that had 18 dreadnoughts and 45 bulk detonators). Maybe you could do a tutorial on it
I strongly recommend avoiding the Damage Text mod. It drastically affects FPS when you have a lot of damage numbers on screen at the same time. Even on higher end PCs.
I have some friends that use it, but I don't like it personally because That is one of the only things that I have left to grind for so I enjoy the sense of progression by unlocking them legitimately
@@brandinorules all it does is separate the weapon framework camos from the frameworks, wich allows you to put the Scale Brigade camo for example in a weapon with the Neon Band framework, wich i find myself combining all the time because of the lack of restrictions it grants, it also adds this feature to armor sets and the camos from the weapons themselves (wich i dont like but i do the rest).
It also removes the distinction between front and back pickaxe parts, which means you can roll with a pickaxe that's actually just a hatchet, for example. Doesn't unlock anything, just makes things more flexible.
This is honestly the only mod I'd actually consider must have. For those intense moments where someone is hoarding all the nitra in their pocket and your team is desperate for a resupply

@@Romix_AA yes, in DRG we have two types of mods: Client side mods, where it is not needed to be installed by every player, but only the ones who installed it will be able to see it's content. And we have Server side mods, those need to be installed by every player on the room, or else they won't be able to join. The only exceptions are mods that change game configs, like a hazard 7 mod. If a player without the mod joins, it will still be in hazard 7 (more damage taken and enemy spawns) but this player won't receive the extra rewards from this custom hazard.
The health numbers, ammo percentage, and damage numbers aren't necessary in the slightest. I can't even figure out how the damage number one would help out.

does anyone know if there's a mod out there that specifically reduces or deletes the fog and dust effects? I know there's mods to delete particles, but they don't bother me that much. The dust, such as from landing in the drop pod or drlling through terrain, is much worse and leaves me blind.
I know what you mean. I dont like the mod that removes all particles but the ones form Doretta and the drills are really annoying. I havent found any mods for those but maybe try Ashless radioactive exclusion zone and simpler azure weild if you have issues with either of those biomes
