Seen a couple ppl with these change the colour of the drl from white to other colours, any ideas how that’s done guessing would need to open the lights up and change the led strip

Thank you for the support I really appreciate it. What year polo do you have? Do you have the same front bumper as mine? If so all the wires run through the same plug the indicators and drl included. (So you will not need the small harness provided.) If you have a different year I would assume the wires would be easy and well placed to be able to connect to the little wiring harness Vland provide with the lights. From my Experience Vland lights are extreamly User Friendly so you shouldn't have any problems.
Awesome video, I’m currently doing some mods on my Grey polo and iv had my eye on Vland headlights for ages along with the Vland smoked taillights. My question is do you get any errors on the dash at all. I have a polo 6C TSI and I was wondering if they were compatible. Anyway love watching your videos love to see what you do next.
Hi there lewis thank you for the comment, yes they should fit the polo 6c and no errors come up on the dash they are plug and play extreamly simple install especially on the polos. Next video will be front windows tint and deflectors then wrc bumper 😍
i bought these of the second hand marketplace and i see thaty you are using the h7 bulbs included. i want to use my own bulbs but i also see that you are using a special included connector but i didnt get that from the guy i bought that off because he wanted to keep the leds. and so also the cables./ can i still connect them in some sort of way when i get the headlight sent to ME?
Hey man sorry for the late reply. Yes if you plug your oem light harnes into the light it will work unless you have your indicators on a different plug. If all the wires are on one connector it won't be a problem.

Hi, recently installed these but the DRLs seem to behave the same as the main beam so switching between the two don't make a difference. Is this the same situation with yours by any chance? I just want to figure out if this is intentional by design.

I wanted to get headlights with dynamic indicators but I have xenons and I can't find any anywhere. They don't seem to exist for xenons. I have dynamic indicators on the back and mirrors but the front...no chance 😢 What's your next mod?
Oh man , xenons are nice and quite pricey. Definitely a quality product at that price point but yes it is a bummer that they don't have the sequential indicators. Definitely the rear diffuser is the next mod. I have received the actual diffuser but not the fins yet still waiting on them. I'm very keen to have the rear end complete
Hi I bought Headlights from Vland just like yours. I wanted to ask about the Harness. In your video you said that one end goes into the Vland Headlights, the other end into your car original Harness. Then you said that the other 2 go into your turn signal and into your day time running, however on my polo MK5 I only have one factory harness that feeds the Factory Headlights. I am confused as how to connect them.
Not a problem at all man if you only have the one harness feeding into your factory headlights then you don't need to use the harness provided by v land. You can just plug the car harness straight into the new vland headlights and everything will work perfectly fine.

Hi there thank you for the question. I am not entirely sure I don't have that light pop up. It might be the connector a fuse or the globe. Maybe double check that you use the right wiring harness. If you disconnected one plug from the old headlight make sure you plug back one. And if it was 2 plugs ( one indicator one headlight) you will need to use the little harness they provide with the vland headlight. If you have done that and still have problems maybe check that the globe works properly, I would also check the fuse box to see if anything is blown . I hope this helps man please let me know if you are able to fix it

Have you noticed they're so dim? Even the low beam are dim not only high beam. I bought a 50,000LM bulbs with photo of how it's supposed to look like but for some reason it feels like these headlights are limiting it? Or cant reach that 50kLM?
they are notoriously rubbish in terms of brightness. i have the same problem, and ended up having to align them so they are quite high. try a HID conversion kit
Hey i know its been a while on this video but i just fitted these to my sisters polo, if you have the side lights on at the switch and you turn the ignition off do yours stay on or do they turn off, the factory ones used to stay on but these dont. Not a bad thing since i drained the battery buy leaving them on accidentally but was just wondering if it was something id done wrong when fitting them 😂

Hi there, sorry for the late reply, it is a 2012 mk5 polo 1.2tsi. It has factory h7 bulbs and with the vland headlights I had to swap them for H4 bulbs. I do not know about the legality certification.
Hi there, thank you for the comment. No, the unit is completely plug and play so no need for another module. The drls are on all the time. I have seen a few videos of people cutting a wire to be able to turn it on and off. But I am almost 100% certain you can just swap a fuse in the car. If you want to flexibility of being able to turn the drls on and off it might be worth looking into this.

Thank you for the comment. They take h7 bulbs, unfortunately they just get brighter but to be honest not bright enough, stock highbeams are better. Yes the stock has the 2 different bolbs the vland only has the singular onw

Hi there I am not sure man if it is due to your headlight becoming foggy you might need to resurface the plastic cover, if the led itself is not working as well anymore you might need to get a new set. If they both look good it might be the angle of your lights. You should be able to adjust where the lights point from inside your car or from the headlights. There are screws in the headlights that you can manually turn to pitch the light up or down. I hope this helps man.

Hi, I bought these VLAND for my Polo 6C 2016 but they givin a trouble code with check parking light left and right. I connected my old headlight and nothing wrong.., you know what i can do?
Hi there guys thank you for the comment. I dont have any error codes pop up. I can try and help with trouble shooting. Have you tested all light settings. Made sure your park lights turn on ? ( is your DRLs on all the time or can you turn them off) my DRLs are on all the time. If I put my switch on to park lights my low beams turn off and I only have the drls on them. Does yours do the same if it doesn't then it might be a fuse or even the connectors. Did you need to use the extra harness or could you plug your oem harness straight into the headlight? What year and modle polo do you have ?. Also maybe try to disconnect your car battery and then connect it again. Hopefully that helps. If all els fails. Might need to get a old reader and clear the code and see if it pops back up.
Hello. I have installed the front headlights from Valand, the same as yours, and the parking light error message appears on the Tako. How can I fix this?
Hi there unfortunately not you do require a h7 globe. The vland headlights won't work with the stock h4 globe it has 3 connection tongs on the globes harness. The v land female end only has 2 slots.
Hi there yes of course i purchased these in mandurah Western australia, www.repco.com.au/globes-batteries-electrical/globes-bulbs/headlight-bulbs/maxi-trac-h7-led-headlight-globe-pair-12-24v-5600lm-6000k-mtlg-h7/p/A5558901 They also come qith a rubber seal which doesnt fit. I installed mine without the seal and they work just fine. No leaks or fog / condensation.
I installed these lights too, when I switch the lights on a warning pops up on dash to check both left and right light, thought it maybe just need coded but when I put fullbeam on both lights make a really weird buzzing noise anyone else had this problem?
Hey man sorry for the late reply. I've had another guys say the same thing happened to them id query it with v land if you installed everything correctly. Mine doesn't do any of that so I don't think it is normal. Unless you have a newer polo im not entirely sure.
Idk if anyone else has had this issue but the connection to my headlight wiring harness does not work with the headlight plug nor the harness you get with the headlights? I’m stuck with what to do
Hi there Josh thank you for the comment, if you are stuck with what to do and don't want to take the headlights back. I would use the harness the provided and splice the car harness to the new one.( cut and connect the wires ) using a diagram for your specific year and then plug that into the headlights. That would be my last resort. And I would only do that if I am 100% sure I love the look of the headlights.
I’ve found out that my car atm is running Xenon headlights instead of Halogen headlights so my connection has a 14 pin connector whereas the vland headlights require a 10 pin connector which is the OEM plug. Gonna try to take it somewhere to get looked at and hopefully find a solution
@@OnlyMods mines also a 1.2. I’ve upgraded spark plugs to iridium, changed the air filter to a Pipercross and removed rear muffler for louder DSG farts. They go hard 👌🏼
@@OnlyMods the pipercross filter gives acceleration a deep tone and removing the rear muffler isn’t TOO loud just loudER but the dsg pops are well worth the $100 it cost me
The front bumper is definitely the most anticipated mod. I can't wait for a new wrc bumper but they are super expensive so I need to save for one. I am hoping some time around Christmas, we can purchase one. Hopefully before hand but that is the goal.

Depending on what globes you use you won't need them.

You should get it from another dealer it depends on which country youre from. Mine same happens just one connector pulgs in

Yes mine turns off when I turn the ignition off but the v land tailights lights stay on.
how do you get the demon eye to work?
You will need to purchased the demon eye vland headlights for the red eyes.

The 3 plug harness I did not have to use thankfully. You only need to use the 3 plug harness if your original light had 3 plugs connected to it.

Idk if anyone else has had this issue but the connection to my headlight wiring harness does not work with the headlight plug nor the harness you get with the headlights? I’m stuck with what to do
Hi there Josh thank you for the comment, if you are stuck with what to do and don't want to take the headlights back. I would use the harness the provided and splice the car harness to the new one.( cut and connect the wires ) using a diagram for your specific year and then plug that into the headlights.
That would be my last resort. And I would only do that if I am 100% sure I love the look of the headlights.
I’ve found out that my car atm is running Xenon headlights instead of Halogen headlights so my connection has a 14 pin connector whereas the vland headlights require a 10 pin connector which is the OEM plug. Gonna try to take it somewhere to get looked at and hopefully find a solution

Yes correct I debadge the polo in one of my videos you can check it out. It is a 1.2 tsi small engine power
@@OnlyMods mines also a 1.2. I’ve upgraded spark plugs to iridium, changed the air filter to a Pipercross and removed rear muffler for louder DSG farts.
They go hard 👌🏼

@@OnlyMods the pipercross filter gives acceleration a deep tone and removing the rear muffler isn’t TOO loud just loudER but the dsg pops are well worth the $100 it cost me

You are right man, my bad I bought some H7 bulbs from repco in Australia.
@@OnlyMods But in the headlight there is only room for 1 H7 bulb while you need 2 per headlight to operate the high beams and low beams...

When you're changing the front bumper
The front bumper is definitely the most anticipated mod. I can't wait for a new wrc bumper but they are super expensive so I need to save for one. I am hoping some time around Christmas, we can purchase one. Hopefully before hand but that is the goal.
