    What other schools do you think the Pac-12 should add?

      I know it's a long shot but Notre Dame...... would give the PAC conference clout and possibly help with getting an automatic bid

      Tulane, Memphis, UNLV and UTSA. And then Gonzaga and St.Marys for basketball membership.

      Solid picks. But I wonder if they'll need more eastern travel partners and to know they'll be making enough more to make it worth it.

    Taking a total of nine schools from the MW doesn’t dissolve the conference. When you announce you’re leaving you lose your voting rights. You have a three school conference that will divide around $200M by three.

    • @saturdayswarriorbyu
      @saturdayswarriorbyu  День назад

      I'm not sure how the timing works, but that would make sense. But I've seen similar things about dissolving it.

      @@saturdayswarriorbyu most of the people who are blathering about dissolving the conference to avoid paying exit fees must think that the presidents, AD's and the lawyers at the schools left behind are idiots. Most of these fans have very little understanding of contract law nor do they really understand how the conference by-laws were written, voted on and adopted. In short, the real idiots are the fans who think they have all of the answers.

    • @letitroll610
      @letitroll610 16 часов назад

      If 9 were in agreement to leave at once, they have the power to dissolve the conference , which would also do away with the penalties/fees , if they do it a little at a time and don't vote first, then of course they lose that advantage, that is why its not likely many more MW teams go to the new PAC. There are rumors now that MW is negotiating reduced fees if PAC takes most or all, but that would hurt TV revenue and overall strength so I doubt it happens.

    • @BroncoBleymaier
      @BroncoBleymaier 15 часов назад +1

      That is not correct. If 9 out of the current 12 schools vote to dissolve the conference the conference is dissolved. If the conference is down to 8 teams then I believe it’s only 6 votes that are required

    🤠 Yes, The Montana Schools Would Be Interested in Joining the Mountain West! Montana Has Been Sitting on Expansion Plans For a 43,500 Seat Football Stadium and Montana State Has Added a New Indoor Football Practice Facility and Track (In Addition To 4 Medical Buildings, Chemistry Building, Engineering Building, and Business Building)! These Schools Will Fill Those 40,000+ Seat Expansion Stadiums and Bring The 3rd Oldest Rivalery West of The Mississippi To The Table! 🤑 They Are Also Nationally Know Brands and Both Have Hosted ESPN College GameDay on Their Campuses (Unlike Many Mountain West and Pac-12 Schools Can Say)! 😎

      I've never doubted that the Montana schools should be at least frontrunners for MWC expansion, but I wasn't sure if they'd want to go FBS. Sometimes it makes sense to continue to dominate where you're at vs possibly struggling at the next level.

    People keep underestimating what UNM brings to the table. Top 50 TV market. Huge basketball program that sells out the Pit regularly. Also Bronco Mendenhall is transforming the football program that has a 40,000 seat stadium as an asset. If the Pac goes back to the MW table, UNM is definitely being added.

    • @saturdayswarriorbyu
      @saturdayswarriorbyu  День назад +1

      That program is only doing better because of BM. As soon as he has any success he’ll be pulled up to the next gig and UNM will be back where they started.

      Y'all just lost to Montana State. I am a former resident of Bozeman.....you guys should have won by a good margin.
      Unfortunately N.M. lobos football has been bottom tier for far far too long.
      As a former member of Local 76 Heat and Frost Insulators of Albuquerque NM. I also know that most everything you said is true ......the pit does sell out regularly. When I lived down there Danny Granger was killing it in basketball......so if Bronco Mendenhall can turn that program around it would be great to see what the future holds.....

      @@BroncoBleymaier Bronco Mendenhall himself has said that he’s not interested in a big program that is already successful. He likes building success stories with struggling programs, he said that even when taking this job. He would’ve stayed at Virginia much longer if he didn’t leave for personal reasons. Having said that, BYU is still solid to this day because of the foundation that Bronco built. Don’t think that if Bronco stays at UNM for 10 years, that this program won’t be changed for the good. Bronco got married and had his first child while he was DC at UNM under Rocky Long. Don’t think for one second that this isn’t personal to him. Bronco Mendenhall isn’t in it for the money or fame and that’s what makes him so different from any of the other FBS coaches. He could’ve easily gotten other jobs but he chose this one in a heart beat.

      An 8 team PAC will clearly be the strongest G6 conference, and will likely get a playoff bid 4 out of 5 years. OSU and WSU joing the MWC wouldn't make the conference any stronger than it is this year, which is probably the 3rd best G5 conference.
