ETH biggest mistake was not keeping Ralf around to advise on signings.
I don’t even blame the board on our disastrous few transfer windows since ETH arrival.
They’ve got ETH the players he asked for bar FDJ which was impossible.
There’s no way Ralf would’ve accepted spending 80 million on Antony or 60 million on Mount. He even said this team needs 10+ 30-40 million players instead of star names. Yes they’re not star names but we paid star prices to get ETH exactly what he wanted.
Sorry to say but this will eventually be the decision ETH looks back on and regrets when he’s getting the sack at some point this year. Simply don’t see how this team improves from where they are right now

I love to see how angry you react when United lose. I also love to see your elation when they win. • @SirMcAwesome
    @SirMcAwesome Год назад

Mark, to answer your question about what Ten Hag should have said:
First of all we can't assume ETH was 100% honest and there aren't other reasons for the rift between them besides a simple lack of effort on Sancho's part. I think in these situations there is always more under the surface that us fans looking from the outside have little chance of ever finding out the full picture.
That aside, even assuming that's the case, perhaps ETH could have said exactly the same thing but in a different way that doesn't really belittle Sancho. For example, he could have said something along the lines of "Look, I have the difficult task of selecting a squad every week, it's not always easy and based on what these players have shown me in training I thought they deserved to start". This way he is essentially saying the exact same thing, but the focus is on the starting players performing well in training rather than singling out Sancho. It's irrelevant if Sancho deserves this or not, its not about him, its about avoiding unnecessary drama and attention to the club itself. It's just a bit of nuance and common sense I think as a manager you should have. Similarly how ETH did not have the common sense to not openly rage and whine like a little kid about the offside goal after the Arsenal game which made him look like a fool.

Ok so im a messi fan but last year we saw Ten Hag and CR7 drama and most of the people said it was CR7 who was wrong, wbu this Season? Sancho and Hag? Anthony? owners? Maguire? players? this club is a mess that need a Saudi´s owner to fix everything with all do respect to Man UTD fans

City sold Sancho for precisely the same reason. Leopards and spots?

Ronaldo was right. A player who scored 15+ goals in a season with Maguire and Lindelof in the defence, MC tominay and Fred in the middle was referred to as the problem of man utd, So sickening. They should just close down the club and send everyone out and let there be nothing again like man utd.

The manager shouldn't have hung his player out in public.

Here’s an answer for you Mark: Ten Hag should have simply said he didn’t select Sancho because he’s just not ready yet and we’re still working together to get him to the level he needs to be to integrate with the team. It’s the same message but framed differently. That’s the difference between a good man manager and not.

But what about the other players? They'll be looking on as the manager namby pambys to accommodate the ego of a problem player and lose respect. You throw out the bad eggs.

@@TChighbury you can still throw out the bad eggs, it’s just how you frame your responses to outside sources. As the saying goes, you don’t wash your dirty laundry in public. Keep it in-house and deal with it properly. By doing so, you’d also gain the respect of the other team players for how you handled the situation. Just my opinion but everyone manages ppl differently.

@@sz871 Right but it seems like previous managers have sounded out issues without specifying players, and where has that got to? Ten Hag sidelined Ronaldo and performances improved. He wants to do the same with all the egos. He has a massive defensive issue to deal with and I think he wants luxury players out so he can balance the team, seems fair enough to me.

3:34 simple. I would say, "We have a 26 to 30 squad members that i think can play at this level. There's only 11 players on the field and there's only 9 spot on substitute. Obviously I cannot select everybody. There's many considerations on selection. Fitness, match sharpness, training performance, tactical decision. Some players will play in this fixture some players will feature in the future fixture."
Gabriel was benched 3 games in a row at arsenal. Nobody make a fuss.

The Manager is entirely to blame. You don't call out a player like that in public. Deal with it internally. That's why you are the boss. We the public don't need to know. You give a neutral answer. There is a reason we hear every other time a Manager say it is for tactical reasons they didn't pick a player. Imagine if every Manager called out their players in public like Ten Hag did.

Utter crap. The manager is in charge. Would you talk back to your manager if he called you out? Bet you wouldn’t! You would be sacked on the spot.

I do wish football pundits would stop flagging up boardroom problems as a reason for a football team getting poor results. Its got feck all to do with it. Players couldn't care less about what is happening with the board.

The boardroom all they do is the executive stuff. They’re not the ones on the football pitch.
