      Chad Pilkington it’s crazy to think how strong devon is, in terms of arm wrestling, yet someone still lies above him. I don’t think he’ll quit until he wins which makes me excited cause I want to see Larratt for years to come

      I think Russians can seem a bit rude when as they see it they are just asking questions directly as they genuinely care about the answer. The first time I saw my supervisor at an academic talk, he seemed rude and blunt with the way he was asking questions to the presenter (or maybe aggressive), but I have worked with him since and he is 100% a nice person who will help others.

      M8 i feel like they were genuine questions, more than half his audience is russian, its easier to know about dennis then it would be to know in depth about devon for half the people, so he’s asking the questions that people don’t necessarily want to ask, but want to know the answer to, from a point of view most relatable to them. Devon understood that and as such didnt show hostility towards it and was a very humble and honest person, and thats because he has to be to improve. If you think about it Devon’s plan would have forfeited 2 rounds without any real contest just to work. He knew how incredibly tight his margins for victory were going into it. The questions were simply asked from the russian point of view.

Denis just happens to have all 3 and be insanely strong at the same time. He curls over 300lbs for reps. Not too many people out there doing that period. Just like he also has the strict curl record. Travis has been out of the game. Even when he was in his prime he never faced serious competition in Europe. Also Larratt himself said he's never felt anyone toy with and play with him as much as Denis did. Saying he's the strongest he's faced to date. I'm just speaking facts. A personal suggestion to all American (and Canadian and Australian...) viewers: before hating on Igor and calling him 'rude', please realise you are watching an edited video and reading very short subtitles. At the same time try to open your mind to a different culture, that of Russia, which hasn't been infected by political correctness. The vast majority of athletes and commentators from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan and so on are usually very respectful, try to follow their example. I can assure you that when I read comments in Russian they are in the vast majority of cases of great appreciation towards Larratt. It's maybe time for you to break some language barrier - that is, learn some other lingo.

    • @kasparov9

      I'm Australian and he's not being rude at all, if you watch all of his other videos it's just how he communicates, it may come across as aggressive talk but that is how many in that culture communicate, I know since I have a Croatian background, the language is spoken heavily with passion and power, but the message isn't aggressive at all.
      Igor is not being rude at all.

      @nemesis9410 5 лет назад +13

      I'm Russian and I speak Russian. The subtitles were not that short, they convey communicated ideas pretty straight forward.
      Also, there's a difference between being direct in your thoughts (which is true for Russian culture) and trying to put more salt on someone's wounds (which is considered rude by Russians themselves). It's just manners, and this Igor guy to me doesn't seem to have good ones.

    This is a practical masterclass in sports psychology on "how champions should think in defeat". Larratt is analysing, being objective-ish and specific on how and why he was defeated. He is not in denial of his defeat, nor giving up in the face of a huge loss or trying to give excuses. This mental ability/strength is a key component for champions to quickly getting "back up on the horse" and setting up new strategies and exercise goals, which will hopefully lead to their success. Much respect to Larratt and I have no doubt that he will accomplish the goals he sets!

    The most important thing is not just winning. It is about learning from your mistakes, training hard and having the courage to come back to do better. A true champion never quits. Looking forward to a rematch.

    Мазуренко- один из тех,кто вносит колоссальный вклад в развитие армспорта. Почти каждый видеоролик на его канале набирает минимум 100к просмотров. Со временем количество поклонников арма увеличится в разы. Уверен в этом. Спасибо Мазуренко за это!💪

    Devon was a good sport about this. He would have been perfectly justified to just walk off the set. This guys literally just bashed him the entire time and gave him no credit. Devon is a champion and a great ambassador for the sport. Unreal...

    Очень достойный человек Девон, невероятно глубокий и душевный ! Очень рад за Дениса - спокойный, уверенный !
    Приятная и дружественная атмосфера сложилась в "братстве арма", словно кто-то невидимый и добрый смог создать её ...

    This is the absolutely the greatest interview responses that I have ever heard from a defeated athlete. Whatever is in Deven Larrett, it is just awesome.

    Igor is just proud of his Frankestein and wants to rub it off on Larratt, I would have walked off of that "interview".

    Разбор полётов прошёл на "ура!" - очень профессионально, а главное - очень увлекательно!
    Ну что, на трон, точнее, - на "стол" - взошёл новый суперчемпион?! Не представляю, кто сейчас может составить конкуренцию Денису.
