Chad Pilkington it’s crazy to think how strong devon is, in terms of arm wrestling, yet someone still lies above him. I don’t think he’ll quit until he wins which makes me excited cause I want to see Larratt for years to come
He framed the questions aggressively it seems but russians are very matter of fact and call things they way they see them. By the end you could tell how much a fan he is of devon.
I think Russians can seem a bit rude when as they see it they are just asking questions directly as they genuinely care about the answer. The first time I saw my supervisor at an academic talk, he seemed rude and blunt with the way he was asking questions to the presenter (or maybe aggressive), but I have worked with him since and he is 100% a nice person who will help others.
M8 i feel like they were genuine questions, more than half his audience is russian, its easier to know about dennis then it would be to know in depth about devon for half the people, so he’s asking the questions that people don’t necessarily want to ask, but want to know the answer to, from a point of view most relatable to them. Devon understood that and as such didnt show hostility towards it and was a very humble and honest person, and thats because he has to be to improve. If you think about it Devon’s plan would have forfeited 2 rounds without any real contest just to work. He knew how incredibly tight his margins for victory were going into it. The questions were simply asked from the russian point of view.
I don't think he's worried about that. A lot of that doesn't matter once you get to the table and you start pulling. Everyone knows Devon's strategies and strengths already.

The most intelligent armwrestler on the planet and one of the best. Didnt beat Denis mainly because of strength. Denis is a lot stronger. Im sure if Larratt works on his strength for a year or so than maybe he would have a chance. Looking for that rematch at the end of 2019.
Gabriel C i dont think that his performance is going down. He armwrestled two very strong opponents. Todd and Denis. Both of them are very strong. Denis is at his peak of strength and also tod. I think that Denis is unbeatable now

Nobody ever in the history of Armwrestling could beat 2018 Denis, it's just too much. That level of strength and weight is so prodigious you don't even need to play your opponent, you just play your own game. And now Denis has even become explosive....completely unbeatable.

Devon needs to work on his hit , anyone with a great hit seems to bother Cyplenkov , Devon is too defence orientated , needs that Bagent strike , to put Cyplenkov on the defence ,. then drain him like a vampire.
Louis Cyphre I was thinking the same thing, Devon likes to test the waters most times, see what his opponent can do. No time for that shit with Denis, he’s gotta hit him hard and fast next time!
@Re nato I'd like to see something like they did with body building, A all natural Class. I don't care about guy's who want too juice, its they're bodies, But Too Put them against guy's who are training an competing they have an edge. Now that being said I don't think They have a guaruntee Win when competing in Events, as We've seen Devon has beaten guy's who we're juiced. But I think it would be a good idea, especially for the newer an Younger generation coming into the sport, It wouldn't pressure them too damage they're bodies to get to the highest levels of the sport, that being said I've really been getting into Arm sports its fascinating an the dedication these guy's have its remarkable an the fact that alot of them are great ppl an truly respectful an humble is something You don't see in sports alot these days. Well sry for the long rant happy holidays Everyone God Bless from 🇺🇸.
Dave Chaffe has much better attack than Devon and he tried attacking Dennis (right arm though) and Dennis pulled a michael todd kinds move on him every time and won. As people said, Devon's biggest strength is his endurance in defending. He was getting slaughtered no matter which strategy he tried
@@sergeysmelnik You are crazy if you think he'd beat him still. Devon was not even close to even be able to toproll his wrist or bend Denis's bicep. Although Devon has gained more weight and strenght it would be a harder match for Denis, but in no way would Devon be able to beat that strength.
@@davidilijevski8942 Not even. Denis is too strong. Could easily take a hit from Travis and hold it. Then it's game over for Travis after that. Past his prime.
@pan peter More like your too dumb to realize that Thor isn't an arm wrestler so that's irrelevant. You can't be just strong. You have to have technique, skill then strength. Denis just happens to have all 3 and be insanely strong at the same time. He curls over 300lbs for reps. Not too many people out there doing that period. Just like he also has the strict curl record. Travis has been out of the game. Even when he was in his prime he never faced serious competition in Europe. Also Larratt himself said he's never felt anyone toy with and play with him as much as Denis did. Saying he's the strongest he's faced to date. I'm just speaking facts. Clearly you don't know much about arm wrestling.
A personal suggestion to all American (and Canadian and Australian...) viewers: before hating on Igor and calling him 'rude', please realise you are watching an edited video and reading very short subtitles. At the same time try to open your mind to a different culture, that of Russia, which hasn't been infected by political correctness. The vast majority of athletes and commentators from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan and so on are usually very respectful, try to follow their example. I can assure you that when I read comments in Russian they are in the vast majority of cases of great appreciation towards Larratt. It's maybe time for you to break some language barrier - that is, learn some other lingo.
I'm Australian and he's not being rude at all, if you watch all of his other videos it's just how he communicates, it may come across as aggressive talk but that is how many in that culture communicate, I know since I have a Croatian background, the language is spoken heavily with passion and power, but the message isn't aggressive at all. Igor is not being rude at all.
I didn't even think that Igor can sound rude to someone here before I read comments :d. May be it's because of translation, but when u listen to him in Russian, he sounds very respectful.
I'm Russian and I speak Russian. The subtitles were not that short, they convey communicated ideas pretty straight forward. Also, there's a difference between being direct in your thoughts (which is true for Russian culture) and trying to put more salt on someone's wounds (which is considered rude by Russians themselves). It's just manners, and this Igor guy to me doesn't seem to have good ones.
I got the feeling that Igor sees Denis' success as his own, and has some kind of strange arrogance about it. Meanwhile, Devon eloquently described everything from a strategy point of view, and didn't let it get to him.
Renat Khassanov OMG dude! Where did you get that profile picture from?? The thing in the picture looks almost identical to my shaved left testicle. It seems photoshopped to look like a face though...

great video. however every question is just totally asked to really smash your spirit regardless of the answer. Denis had everything designed to win regardless of his strength and skill seemed he knew exactly how the refs voice, and voice speed of his words speed . to totally know the start and 2 guys working on his arm and body... it is what it is great job to Denis for his openess to answer the questions.. the interviewer is ruthless to try and make Devon look the worst that he can
What a fantastic interview. I wish other sports had people this knowledgable doing interviews with the best in their respective fields. Good on you my friend!
Devon had the tactics and even endurance in my opinion but Dennis's strength was just way to strong. Dennis is a beast his strength is nearly unmatched in the world, and also has the WR bicep curl. I feel like if Devon just had a little bit more strength like back in the days of 2010 and stuff he could have won by bleeding him out but this time around Dennis is just too strong and Devon is getting older.
@@Nastgardaren yes but if Devon ever beat Dennis it would never never be by strength becsuse Dennis is insane it would be my Endurance. Devon is known to fight much stronger opponents that also weigh a lot more than him. If he had more strength he could use that strength to get inside and win Dennis by bleeding, not by power.
@@soraflame66 and I believed Denis had been trained for endurance before this match. That guy is just smart and powerful at the same time, he is like Larratt at a higher level, to beat him, someone has to have the brute strength much much stronger than him. This is not the Denis we saw pulling with pure strength but this is the Denis with lots of tactics under his belt. I would like to see him pulling Levan in the near future.
Devon, if you are reading this, what people admire in comments here is your honesty and openness, the fact you're not trying to hide behind health, flight, food, whatever problems you might have come up with if you were a dishonest person. You probably can tell now that honesty, humbleness and open heart is what the Slavs value very, very much. This is true. This is why Denis, the way he handled the champion belt, Pushka, Fedor are the ones we love and admire. We admire you too. And you now know why.
This is a practical masterclass in sports psychology on "how champions should think in defeat". Larratt is analysing, being objective-ish and specific on how and why he was defeated. He is not in denial of his defeat, nor giving up in the face of a huge loss or trying to give excuses. This mental ability/strength is a key component for champions to quickly getting "back up on the horse" and setting up new strategies and exercise goals, which will hopefully lead to their success. Much respect to Larratt and I have no doubt that he will accomplish the goals he sets!

The most intelligent armwrestler on the planet and one of the best. Didnt beat Denis mainly because of strength. Denis is a lot stronger. Im sure if Larratt works on his strength for a year or so than maybe he would have a chance. Looking for that rematch at the end of 2019.
His performances have been constantly going down. His primes was 2008-2013. Back then he would had had a chance with Denis even left
They probably will never compete against each other again
he can't beat him, Denis is just genetically stronger, every part of his arm is better
Gabriel C i dont think that his performance is going down. He armwrestled two very strong opponents. Todd and Denis. Both of them are very strong. Denis is at his peak of strength and also tod. I think that Denis is unbeatable now
I say we send Devon a year supply of sterroids and then a rematch.
I love listening to this guy. He is so well articulated and explains everything so well. Love that man!
Love how technical and detailed Devon breaks the match down..Props to him for the massive amount of strength he posses..
"I was like 100 eggs against the rock." - Devon Larratt.
Devon is cool
Did he said that
@29:23
@Craig Laycox Denis is nothing if not strong
Larratt was also juiced but got steamrolled.
All pros are btw

Fantastic breakdown of the fight and a much needed interview with Devon after the match explaining how it all went down! Thank you Armbets TV for producing this high level content! 💪💪💪
Nobody ever in the history of Armwrestling could beat 2018 Denis, it's just too much.
That level of strength and weight is so prodigious you don't even need to play your opponent, you just play your own game. And now Denis has even become explosive....completely unbeatable.
Kinda seems Igor was very disrespectful in this interview, talk about rubbing salt into the wound.
Thats Igor his way on doing these things. Look at the titles of most videos from Vendetta 50. I understand he has a lot of knowledge of armwrestling himself due to his history but for me he only appears as a salesman. Always $$$ blinking in his eyes mehhhh.
You are too sensitive guys, he was respectful and said the truth. Larratt agreed on everything Igor said
@@srsav3kkknosk1llsen its like he wanted Devon to explain in detail how much weaker he was, I don't know , it just sounded humiliating.
In fairness to Igor , I paid for the match, wasn't sent the link until the Sunday so I complained and received a full refund first thing Monday so can't complain 👍
Not disrespect full, just saying the truth as it is, Devon moths off all the time, he was beaten like a child, did not have one bit of a chance, Denis style and strength far to good.
Wayne
Meh, maybe it's the translation. Either way, Devon is a big boy and handled it like a champion.
This is so good! Larratt's a living legend, ArmBets TV is the best!
When will you larrat fanboys ever learn...
CYPLENKOV is better than larrat
Dylan Jones he never said he wasn’t.
@@rb26gtr98 haha I agree....Karma is a bitch...Denis stuffed himself with roids to beat Devon and now he is paying the price. Hope it was worth it Denis smh

I love them both.
Denis is smart too, he knows all the tricks

Humble champion, true respect to Devon Larratt👍
Watching Devon Larratt just in these last few days on RUclips has made me a fan of arm wrestling. What a great champion he is. His spirit really comes through
Same! :)
You are born with that. Just have it or dont
Louis Cyphre Exactly thats what I said on other videos. He should attack with strength instead of just holding his opponents passively..!
Dave Chaffe has much better attack than Devon and he tried attacking Dennis (right arm though) and Dennis pulled a michael todd kinds move on him every time and won. As people said, Devon's biggest strength is his endurance in defending. He was getting slaughtered no matter which strategy he tried
Very intelligent arm warrior.

Has taken Denis two years to recover from the overdose of steroids he took to beat the goat.
That was exactly what i was thinking!! (Except the goat thing)
Devon would beat him today.
That is true, except for the GOAT part. He isn't the goat, he is an elite top 5 armwrestler.
@@sergeysmelnik but you keep your hope under pillow coz it's Corona time..
Travis doesn't want the challenge being afraid of the same result. We love you Devon.
Exactly. Travis is predictable. Only has a hard hit and after that he's garbage with no endurance.
@@mattbudesa3038 that's why he could beat him with explosive hit .No one beating him with some slow move
@@davidilijevski8942 Not even. Denis is too strong. Could easily take a hit from Travis and hold it. Then it's game over for Travis after that. Past his prime.
Shut up fanboy
Forget the loss, you show your class by remaining humble and crediting Dennis for what he's achieved. Respect !
"Dennis is a Beast"
Devon Larrat 2018
Interviewer was trying to talk him down. But Devon stay cool throughout.
It's just manners, and this Igor guy to me doesn't seem to have good ones.
the gouvernment did cheat on the Olympics tho
I got the feeling that Igor sees Denis' success as his own, and has some kind of strange arrogance about it. Meanwhile, Devon eloquently described everything from a strategy point of view, and didn't let it get to him.
Отличный разбор,раскрываются бесценные секреты тактики и борьбы .

Недумал что Ларат такой уважительный и душевный человек.
Спс что он так уважительно подходит к сопернику, в данном случае к Денису.

great video. however every question is just totally asked to really smash your spirit regardless of the answer.
Needs a few more adverts!!!
No shit..
I agree. Probably every 10 seconds would be better.
I think he still would have lost, maybe it would have been 5-1. Denis dominated so thouroghly
Devon should train strength, not endurance
Thats what I just said... read the whole thing.
Это супер просто! Мазуренко радует!
We realy want Devon Larrat in the TOP 8!!!!! This tournament is not the same without him!!! PLEASEE make everything to bring him!!!
Been waiting on this match for years, awesome that they got such a in depth analysis from Devon.
Im learning so damn much i gotta take notes
Devon - great guy.
Devon you deserve a PhD in arm wrestling!
