I have to say he made the sport extremely exciting, got to watch his whole career and was lucky enough to see him live in Toronto 2014 for his 49th win JS7 put on a show that night.

My favorite all time rider with one of the MOST frustrating careers smh.
Love Js7(259), changed the sport forever and at his peak, hands down, THE fastest man EVER on a dirt bike!

The super quick reflexes and talent Stewart had was incredible. The tank slapper at 5m:12s is just one example of his skill level. It’s a huge shame he retired (read… forced) so early in his career.

I was at thunder valley when that happened, Yeah someone did run across the track but it was way before those ruts, imo James just made a mistake in the soft deep ruts

People give Dungey crap for being the "consistant guy" and claim he would never win a title without his competitors being injured but this proves otherwise. Yea James beat him but he had to push to overcome Dungey which is something he had never had to do before.

False he had to push to overcome reed and RC what are you saying lmao. Dungey did benefit from his competitors going out on most of his chips, that’s the sport. Dungey was still that guy regardless.

The fact that in 2012 was almost the end of his career, i remember that crash, and i think it was either the crash before or after he had another one after the gate drop. Towards the end of his yami career he just had a string of crashes. Now there was some controversy around bubbas crash, i guess one of the flaggers ran out and across the track and broke bubbas focus. Im not entirely sure if this was bubbas last season on yami but the sudden switch in bikes, as much as people shit on suzuki, bubba going to zuki probably was the best thing he ever could've done at the time, he was almost unstoppable for almost 4 years. If i remember correctly bubba won 2 or 3 tittles on zuki. Then after 2014 he was suspended for the 2015 season because he was late on his drug applications thats riders must turn in before every season. Thats where it fucked bubba up. When he came back in 2016, thats when dungey T boned the fuck outta him and that was the last of we would hear of bubba. This dude disappeared for 5 years before coming back. It really was bubba who set things in stone for a lot of the sport. Its really nice seeing bubba back in the scene tho. This dude is a legend. But i will always respect dungey for almost being the only rider to ever have the balls to battle bubba the way he did.

And on that first gen KTM. Thing was a tank compared to the '12 RMZ, one of the best at that time. Dunge is underrated..
