You could use cooked mutant hound meat to micro tune your rad level (assuming that's not bugged?) when your health slips too low? That would avoid the need to clear all rads and then zap yourself all the way back down to 25%. I think there's also a Far Harbor chem that heals only a small amount of rads, like 100?
@@mikefoolery 2 things I’ll leave here for people interested in power armor racing 1. On top of overdrive servo leg mod, you can wear the far harbor captain’s hat for an additional 10% sprint speed 2. Your speed affect how far people are rag dolled with the Pain Train perk. That alone can relocate enemies a good 50+ feet, but synergize it with the 2076 World Series bat, and you can send enemies truly into the stratosphere.
So what you’re telling me is that this is essentially the Bruce Banner/Hulk build. Basically an on-demand super boost to all stats, increased damage dealt, decreased damage taken, and increased XP earned.
Yes exactly, and that’s a much better name for the build - the Hulk. Plus, with the Defender of Acadia perk, you get 1000 dmg and energy resistance after dipping below 20% health for 30 seconds, which means you’re basically in power armor. And 30 seconds is more than enough time to deal with the threat and then use a stim to get back around 25% health
It's interesting and I really appreciate the thought that went into it. I would not call it a "build" or a strategy as such, because it totally depends on RNG/farming/cheating specific legendary effects (and on half decent armour). Like saying "I'll get a wounding minigun and an explosive shotgun" is not a strategy. That's an aspiration. I've done entire runs where I never found any Unyielding pieces. And there's the question of how you survive long enough to find them. But I definitely agree it's a really interesting alternative way to play the game. Lots of replayability. As you say, almost turns the game logic upside down. It's probably fairer to call it Radiation Junkie rather than Adrenalin Junkie.

It's about time someone made a video about the greatest build in the history of the world. Because the benefits *DONT* stop here. By using the "Military Fatigues" clothing item you can have the benefits of ballistic weave, *AND* 5 energy resistence, *AND* +2 agility while also having all your armor slots available to you for Unyeilding, Rad Powered, or whatever. With the unique armor piece "Atom's Bulwark" from Far Harbor, you can have 60 DR, 65 ER (not accounting for ballistic weave, armor uprades, perks, or other effects) if your rads are at 900 or more. But wait. There's *more!* You brought up Unyielding, a stupendous legendary effect. But, you forgot to mention *Bolstering* which is a legendary armor effect that, when your health drops, your DR/ER rises, to a max of +35 each. With Atom's Bulwark, and *one* piece of bolstering, you can reach a DR of 95, and an ER of *100* with just those two. Having Unyielding on the other two would net a player +6 to their special stats. Combine this with Toughness (assuming max rank), and Nerd Rage (also assuming max rank), that's another 90 DR, for a total of 185 DR/*190 ER (this calculation assumes Toughness and Nerd Rage apply their DR bonus to BOTH DR and ER, the game is buggy, I don't know if they do or not. Like, literally, sometimes my stat screen will tell me it does, and sometimes, it will tell me it doesnt). Then, add in your MkV ballistic weave outfit for another 110 to each (295/300). This is just the bare minimum. Upgrading the armor to superior variants, having more than just these 2 pieces and the ballistic weave clothes would improve this calculation, and not having the perks, or the armor in question would hurt the equation. Playing Fallout 4 as a radiation obsessed hyperbeast, fueled by chems and friendship, is not only viable? But, arguably, *optimal.* _Mama Murphy was _*_RIGHT..._*

Just finished a survival run with no armour, no dog, no companions, no power armour. Died a few times. Got to level 150. completed all dlc's. I have just started a new survival run. Leather armour only, no dog or companions. Just finished level 50 no deaths so far. To make the game harder, I don't put any points into strength or intelligence. Therefore, I have to buy or find weapon and armour mods. No gun nut or armour workshop. Overseers guardian is my primary weapon and the .308 pipe rifle found in last house in concord upstairs. Buy the silencer from diner eventually modding to .50 cal when available from vendors. Leather armour is shadowed and pocketed. Leather chest piece is from diamond city vendor as it gives more time for chems to work. I have hot keyed psycho/jet and quantum cola. Don't be afraid to do drugs and buy addictol. Noodle cup is my go to meal for food and drink at same time. Helps with carry weight. Also mirelerk eggs only weight 0.1 when cooked with dirty water. Save whenever a bed is near is case game locks up, which it does occasionally. I play with PS4 no mods. Survival mode is brilliant for strategy. To get to Vigil in the glowing sea, I took rad x, glowing blood pack, cooked bloatfly, cooked mutant hound and stealth boys. No hazmat suit or power armour. Love the challenge. Like you said, Fallout 4 can be played in so many different ways.

Just found the reason i needed to go back to play this wonderful game. Now i have to try this build on survival which i never played too. Epic video and edits bro, got a new follower for sure.
I’d be very surprised if this works in survival. For survival, you’ll want to stick to stealth or Power Armor for the start. Having only 25% HP means you are going to get one shot killed by literally everything. And I mean everything.

People love to diss Fallout 4 but for me there's just so much to do in it. You can be the guy who rebuilt the Wasteland into a thriving network of settlements who are all self sustainable and trade with each other. You can be a gun for hire or a Robin Hood type, completing quests for people, you can go hunting for all the rare and collectable stuff and you can even be a ruthless raider boss who terrorises the people of the Commonwealth. People can say it's garbage but it's the game I always go back to and there's tons of mods, from quest based to exotic weapons to just plain stupidly fun stuff. I love it and I don't care what anyone says, overall, it's the best all-round Fallout game. It has it's faults and I hope they learn from everything they've done up to now to produce the best of it all in Fallout 5, whenever that is 🤷
@@mikefoolery exactly my friend, some days I'll just start sprucing up a settlement a bit and then 3 hours later I'm still going, supplying electricity for every home and fully furnished decorated cribs for my settlers.... 😄 Then one of my settlers will still say something snidey to me!

No, it’s just the high def texture pack which is considered free dlc for the game. I also have some creation club stuff downloaded because I got them when they were free 🤷♂️
You literally put into words. Not kidding I’ve been obsessed with this game since my wife bought me my PS 4 slim and always gets bored with my currents run through yet unbelievably excited thinking of my next imagined character and perk evolution. Thank you so much.
there is a quest you can do for a synth in acadia named Jule. i dont want to spoil it but you need to tell her the truth. beyond that you have to get them from random legendary drops
Ngl single player games shouldn’t be played to efficiency like online games. Do people really stress themselves over their dps? 😂 for why? I always play it through like a toddler and just see where I go and never use vats as I’ve always thought that’s just cheating and get no enjoyment from it (cool cut scenes tho)

That's my guy
I can't believe there's people like you out there
nice
Yo you actually smashed this, out of the millions of players, you came up with the single best build.
hahaha thanks man. Yeah the only problem is finding the unyielding armor to begin with 😭
Krieg from Borderlands 2 approves of this build.
I can’t believe you only have few thousand subs. This video was informative, funny, and also kept me engaged the entire time. You will go far with this if you care enough to put your time into it. Great video man
never knew I wanted to min-max my fourth half-arsed playthrough of Fallout4 until watching this. Subbed.
This is honestly one of my favorite videos, hilarious and creative editing and build all at once
Never heard of this playstyle.
Very interesting.
Keep up the great work! I'm lovin it!
Thanks! will do
This man is DANGEROUSLY underrated. I thought i was watching a channel with over a million subscribers.
Entertaining.
Informative.
Well edited.
HILARIOUS.
Keep going man; you'll be big one day
What an awesome comment to receive. Thanks so much, man, I definitely will keep going!
@@mikefoolery lol, i just checked subscirber as i read the comment and could not believe this wasnt a big channel, great stuff gained a sub ;)
I agree 100%. The edit is so fun. Subscribed.
I thought the same thing
the editing is top freaking tier man, and the build looks really fun
thanks bro! more fallout content to come 🦀
Thank you, I just got fallout 4 after buying my first console. I'm just trying to have fun with the old games instead of sweating, love this kind of videos
Good editing. The extra references are worth your effort and bring memorable icons into the fun of your presentation.
"I'm dug in..."
Its actually a great build, kind of turns the game on his head.
Great video btw! As soon as you had Shane Gillis holding the Special sign I knew I'd like it. Subscribed!
haha thanks! I smiled like an idiot every time I went back to that part in the editor lol
Just started playing Fallout 4 last weekend because of the show. So glad i found this channel & video! Fantastic quality, laighed the whole way thru! Keep up the great work!
I can't believe I'm about to try a stupid ass build where my health is a tiny little nugget of nothing just because of a meticulously well thought out video.
i cant believe how much fun you’re about to have
You did an outstanding job editing this-I was so captivated in the first few minutes. All the extra cutscenes keep me hooked 😅! Such dedication! Stay positive my friend you got this.
thank you so much! my videos take longer because of the editing but comments like yours tell me that it’s all worth it!
This video is so well done I’m at 4:06 and just keep running certain parts back I hope to see your subscriber count grow 😂 edits are amazing keep it up dawg legit my favorite kind of stuff
bro thank you for the super nice comment 😭 I will definitely keep it up!
the heavy gunner becoming a sniper is a mood
it is truly blessed
Just found the reason i needed to go back to play this wonderful game. Now i have to try this build on survival which i never played too. Epic video and edits bro, got a new follower for sure.
thanks man! have fun!
I’d be very surprised if this works in survival.
For survival, you’ll want to stick to stealth or Power Armor for the start. Having only 25% HP means you are going to get one shot killed by literally everything. And I mean everything.
buddy made me reinstall this game just to try this build. u earned that like and sub
hahaha thanks man! for an immediate piece of unyielding armor you need to go to far harbor and help the synths in acadia.. otherwise you have to find the other pieces by random drops
That thumbnail got me, then I stayed for the awesome video.
Personally I love the "choose a path and stick to it" playstyle.
I'm trying a courier 6 build and generally invest in agility, luck, guns and endurance for that "shot in the head, but turned out fine" feel.
I will however keep this build in mind for my RAD playthrough down the line. Thx for the inspiration!
This video is so well put together I was surprised to see your sub count and the fact that you don’t have many other videos this popular. You’re hilarious dude, keep this up
thanks man! I’ll definitely keep going!
I've watched this video 5 times to get all of the little details down also great production quality! I'm restarting the game and running with this
wow that’s awesome. i’m so glad it was good enough to keep you entertained on that many watches!
This video made me reinstall Fallout 4 even though I replayed it 3 weeks ago. The editing and specially the music of this video was absolutely awesome
haha i’m glad you liked it!
With the update to next gen consoles later this month all I gotta say is thank you sir. Was already gonna de download f4 and you saved me so much time making a build
yw! I’m glad you liked it!
My guy, your editing, and writing, and all of it is just sublime, I like your videos and I'm just glad I've found your channel.
You seem to be talking about other things too, so, yes! Good job!
thank you for taking the time to comment this! I really appreciate it and it motivates me to keep making vids!
this is the best Fallout 4 video I have seen in ages. first 5 minutes spoke directly to my soul 😂
thank you!!
This low key has to be one of the most funny videos I've watched, and I don't know why 😂
hahaha thanks man! I put a ton of time into these videos trying to make them funny so I'm really glad you enjoyed it
Yo man such a high quality vid. Your whole channel is dope. Keep grinding bro you’ll definitely blow up.
thanks bro! This is a super motivating comment and I definitely will keep grinding! but I’m wondering should I just devote this channel to fallout 4 content, or gaming content in general, or anything I want to make? The fallout 4 stuff definitely does the best but I also have other interests haha
@@mikefooleryhonestly with the quality you have, I think you’ll grow whether you decide to specialize in fallout or not. I enjoy the multi form media you’re doing atm. Btw if u have any build planner links lmk 😩
damn bro that’s super nice of you to say. thank you dude! Here is my favorite character planner: mmartinx.github.io/fo4/#eyJzIjpbIjEiLCIxIiwiMSIsIjEiLCIxIiwiMSIsIjEiXSwiciI6W119
and this one is also good: nukesdragons.com/fallout-4/character
The music and editing is kind of awesome in what I assumed would be a dry, infotainment video. Subbed.
thanks man! if it’s not fun, why play- i mean watch it?
I actually love Nerd Rage for survival builds and to know there is a way to maximize this is amazing. Great video.
What a gem of a video. Amazing work @mikefoolery . This is a certified hood classic. Honestly this is the end all be all of FO4 build vids. Genre defining. (ok ill stop glazing now)
Hhahaha I appreciate the kind words! I had to share the build because I love playing it and I’m so glad others are having the same experience!
It has it's faults and I hope they learn from everything they've done up to now to produce the best of it all in Fallout 5, whenever that is 🤷
I am currently being the guy rebuilding the wasteland and spending a ton of time in the settlement builder; and it’s super fun!
@@mikefoolery exactly my friend, some days I'll just start sprucing up a settlement a bit and then 3 hours later I'm still going, supplying electricity for every home and fully furnished decorated cribs for my settlers.... 😄
Then one of my settlers will still say something snidey to me!
@@laernulienlaernulienlaernu8953 lol after the snide comments it’s time for the stockades 😂
loving the content lately! keep it up man!
thank you spatio brevi, i will
Would love to see a perk progression along with this build! Definitely want to start a new playthrough using this build
Been getting a lot of comments to the same tune! Gonna make a new build video when the next gen update drops and i’ll definitely include perk progression 👍 👌
honestly good vid. only watched the first 5m but gonna watch the rest. edits are on point and narrative too. gg man !
The Enclave should fear this man
honestly the only companion perk that doesn’t suck is piper’s. extra xp for discovering locations and passing speech checks? yes please
piper is so goated she’s not even a companion. you’re HER companion
That liver king meme was fucking 10/10 lmao
lol thanks man 🙏
ngl I have 800 hours in fallout 4 with multiple playthroughs.... every single one of them was a sneak sniper...
the sneak sniper is inevitable.
Like the sneak archer in Skyrim.
That first combat montage was glorious and i actually laughed out loud at the slow mo rocket being shot at the doe. Bravo
hahaha thanks. that’s my favorite part of the video and you’re the first comment that’s mentioned it 😂
Tremendous video. You've earned an easy like and sub. I particularly enjoyed listening to the downsides of the build to "wide putin".
thank you! I figured that song choice was the best way to show that the build has very few downsides haha
I want to play this and have it all booted up but I don't know what to pick and when, please upload the guide soon man!
I started a brand new play through back in the day when I saw that melee was basically broken and I could warp 30 yards and punch three peoples heads off or one shot a death claw.
It is so broken that it's used to break the game all the time in speedrunning lol
11:10 Edge of Tommorow - goated movie
lol it’s a fantastic film
Holy shit dude this video is 10/10. The editing, the memes, the pure MATH. chefs kiss ✨
I’m currently watching the Fallout show and like everyone else it got me itching to play the games again. Was deciding what to play (was thinking New Vegas) but I think you might have convinced me to do F4 instead.
Liked & subbed 🎉
thanks dude! I’m glad you liked it and I hope you enjoy the playthrough!
I just want to pat you on the back and say "good job brother". because I see the work you put into your edits and they are flawless. Kept me smiling and laughing.
thank you! i’m working on anther right now and this comment was really motivating haha
Love this vid! Makes me want to boot up the game again after years of hibernation. Are you interested in making a step by step, most efficient method of getting to this build as fast as possible? I'd really like to see that.
stay tuned!
Yes but how do you get the armor? I’ve been grinding a legendary farm for hours in both nuka world and the national training yard and haven’t found one piece yet. Level 95 on very hard
2:44 I feel attacked
hey man thanks, this is a great video and this playstyle that I just recently tried is a BANGER, Its crazy how you managed to come up with this idea for a build, and for a second time, Thanks.
i’m so glad you’re enjoying it!
This is the kind of content I was looking for. Excellent and very creative build that turns under utilized perks and makes them amazing.
Subbed!
thank you! Yeah I was so stoked when I realized I had a reason to take new perks that I never choose
So we still can’t respec in 2024?
Nope. 😂
yep, unless you want to you a mod
I get why not people would just get the jet pack and their power armor and reset the armorer perk
Or if you have local leader and supply lines and you reset what’s going to happen to the supply lines?
thank you. i NEED this.
but you uhhhh didnt tell us the uh specials.
gabagoul
10 Intelligence and then anything else you want for the build 👌
@@mikefoolery thank you bro!
we making it out of the vault with this one!
I don't remember Fallout 4 looking this good. You're definitely using some mods.
Thank you so much.
i’m glad you liked it!
God tier editing of a Meme Lord, this was awesome and hilarious.
It must have been a ridiculous amount of work to edit.
lol it was a ton of work haha but it was worth it. I’m glad you liked it! more to come for sure!
Did you make this video just to mock me 😅 I started a new game after years of not playing and guess what the first perk I picked was 💀2:23
i'm sorry dude.. everyone makes mistakes
Haha all good I'll start a new game
Incredible editing for a 8k subs youtuber - you're gonna be big my guy!
Excellent video and made me rethink how I play the game I’ve been playing for so many years. Liked and subscribed
where tf do i find unyielding armor
same question🙃
there is a quest you can do for a synth in acadia named Jule. i dont want to spoil it but you need to tell her the truth. beyond that you have to get them from random legendary drops
I have a mod that makes me able to make a load of legendary effeckt but just not unyielding...
@@mikefoolerygood guy not spoiling a 9 year old game just complimented some guy on Reddit for doing the same thing
Would this work on Survival? I feel like you would die alot?
I play on survival and don’t die too often! ( although it’s certainly still challenging )
okay screw it, I'm reinstalling
and everyone thought i was insane for doing this build before
i love that someone else discovered this
with just under 2k hours into FO4, this is a game changer. I will definately give this a go. very cool thanks for sharing!
you got it!
Ngl single player games shouldn’t be played to efficiency like online games. Do people really stress themselves over their dps? 😂 for why? I always play it through like a toddler and just see where I go and never use vats as I’ve always thought that’s just cheating and get no enjoyment from it (cool cut scenes tho)
its more about being able to use multiple weapon types and playstyles without absolutely needing their perks to do any damage
Shit gets boring when ur too op have to spice up the builds somehow
the best way to play Fallout 4 is playing Fallout New Vegas
Only way to enjoy fo4 is to mod it into fo:NV
This is EXACTLY what I needed. In Depth Guide, here I come. Thank you! Take my Subscribed and Liked!
yw! i’m glad you liked it!
12:38 is my favorite part. Lol
The whole video was insightful and hilarious. The editing is top notch
The best way to play Fallout 4 is to uninstall that trash and install New Vegas instead
Kiddos do not understand. Kiddos will never understand. They'll wait until Bethesda remakes New Vegas, fucks it up like a Starfield. And complain that New Vegas sucks.
NV fans not trying to hate on other fallout games: Difficulty: Impossible.
@@TheMightyShrimp not other Fallout games. Fallout 4 specifically. Same as Halo. Bungie Halo is different from 343 Halo. And one of them is generally better received.
So like a lot of people, I was wanting to play Fallout 4 again after binging the Fallout show. I got fed this video on my recommended page and WOW - you actually did put into words how I felt (and I liked the video, of course). I’m so excited to start a new save and play the adrenaline junkie build as whatever I want. Also, fantastic editing, had me cracking up a few times.
I was sold right when the adrenaline junkie montage started and I saw you use multiple weapons. Exited for this playthrough
lol I loved making that montage haha
Wow, that’s exactly what it’s like to play this game! This guy put what I was feeling into words.
hahaha evidently I really did
i had no idea character building affected ur playstyle this deep in fo4, usually i like to have a balanced skill tree for other games. can’t wait to make new builds!
Thanks for putting the time into this and sharing the vid. Can't wait to do this on my next play through!
Literally best fallout video ever. Ive been looking for a reason to get excited about this game again and I think ive just found it
How you only have 2.3k subs is beyond me, great video!
thank you! working on more videos in fallout 4 right now haha
loved the video! super unique and the commentary and editing were hilarious
thank you! glad you liked it!
Mate never had so much fun watching a guide vid definitely trying this after my current playthrough
Absolutely loved this, amazing visuals and excellent pacing in particular! I will admit you almost lost me in setting up the background of perks but it got all of the information out of the way so I could sit back and enjoy the rest of the video, which I most certainly did. Time for a deep dive into your channel, +1 like and +1 sub, nicely done my friend
thank you for the nice comment! I hope you like the rest of my channel! (although I will admit that content wise it’s all over the place lol)
