I loved this song. Such a shame(but understandable obviously) that Eurovision was cancelled in 2020 because I think we would've placed pretty high with this.
I still think they should have done a version of ESC where all the countries could send in a taped, stage performance of their song and simply have a host present each artist and then roll these tapes one after the other and everyone can still vote as usual. It would be something that could unify us in isolation that we could all sit down and watch together, each in our own homes. Something to talk about in our Zoom calls =D
These beautiful, talented women won our contest "Melodifestivalen" - and it was such a pity that they didn´t get to perform in 2021 because of the cancelled ESC. They performed as backvocalists the year before, in 2019, behind John Lundvik "Too late for love" (who performed in the swedish Melodifestival in swedish - which you reacted to in a prior video). Now it was supposed to be the ladies turn to stand on their own on the stage. Hopefully they will get another chance.
I saw this on live TV in the first semifinal february 2020, tired from work and not normally watching Eurovision. Just had nothing better to do, sitting there with a lazy mind expecting absolutely nothing. By the time they got to the bridge, I was jumping around like crazy in my living room, literally (and I mean literally) screaming with happiness. Probably one of the most epic music experiences in my life, probably much to do with the total surprise. And from then on I just had to watch the entire season including the finale, cheering for "Move" all the way. The thing is, though, that the Swedisn main final was classy straight through, and I wouldn't have complained if either of Dotter, Anna and Mariette had won instead of the Mamas. But no, Mamas were dabomb and I still get goose-bumps from listening to this. THE MAMAS!
According to the odds before Eurovision 2020 was cancelled, Bulgaria with Tears Getting Sober and Iceland with Think about Things were the two favorites. While Sweden was great, a lot of Eurofans were upset they won over the fan favorite Dotter. Now everyone celebrates this song and most of the 2020 songs cause those songs were never showcased at the massive scale that Eurovision is.
They would have come i. 3rd after Russia nd Iceland. I love the Mamas, this song means a lot as it was the first my exposure to Eurovision and a song tyat reminds me of my fiancé.
