@@pixelzebra8440unfortunately often people who get bullied are “nerds” which very well can be kids who are super into a musical instrument. It’s so sad because they’re not harming anyone, they just love doing what they love and they’re often really good at it too, but they will get bullied because they don’t do the “popular” things to do (like sports etc)

Sheet music is somewhat useless to experienced musicians, they can simply memorise songs or do improvised versions of them.
There's even people who never learn to read sheet music and can still play really well, just got to be good at discerning the notes and practicing.

That kind of performance does not come overnight or easily. Think about the amount of time, at his age, that he spent working on that piece, perfecting every note, every move, all while taking care of just being a kid. Going to school. Doing his homework. Navigating everything that comes with being that age. Remember being that age? Now factor in being on stage in front of every single person in your circle who has any kind of meaningful influence on you. Yea, no pressure. I hope he remembers that moment til the day he leaves this rock and continues to build on everything that he's learned. Nice job.

Well, his parents, or whoever paid for his lessons, get every penny's worth out of it.
I wonder if he'll play for a Symphony some day. What a great life that would be.

Not sure how lucrative…. my dad was semi-pro symphony violinist. Had career as scientist but played violin from childhood into his mid 80’s for fun. No salary but travel expenses paid - played for Pope John Paul at the Vatican, and Queen Elizabeth in London. Got impression pros in symphony made a modest living… in contrast to esteemed soloists who were well compensated.

@@gr8dvd I’d take nominal pay for a life I found to be happy.

@@tigergreg8 Agree 100% provided ‘nominal pay’ = a living wage… ie, food, roommates / housemates in your 30s+ only if you choose, doctor when needed, etc.

Playing like that at his age not only takes amazing talent, it also takes strong dedication and unquenchable passion. I can't even begin to guess at how much practice he put in, over and over, day after week after month, to get this good.
I can only imagine where he'll be in 10 years.

tbh as a violinist, this piece is rly simple so are the double-stops and the cleanliness could improve; for his age it's impressive though! it's oblivious he practiced a lot, with the right practice he can go far:)
