As a baker, this makes my soul happy... I needed this video today. I'm glad my headphones are charged. Otherwise, this whole medical center would be listening to Berry's shenanigans. ❤😂
Honestly, watching this from the beginning I don’t know if those gloves are going to hold up in the oven I’d be afraid they would melt. I would’ve made a food save silicone, mold.
What I would have tried for bread gloves is keeping the rubber gloves inflated in some way, and then cover them on the outside with dough, so they may not need hollowing and they would be bigger than the gloves themselves.
Yep, came here to say this. I guess they'd be less likely to stay properly glove-shaped, maybe? But surely would have been easier. Like papier maché over a balloon
I would've thought fill the gloves with sand, tie them off, and then oil them and wrap the outside with dough or pastry with oiled dividers between the fingers. That way you can just untie, pour out the sand, and then put your hands in.
These would have been perfect video for last week when it was Halloween, it would be perfect way to creep out colleagues and friends biting into a hand.
I've been struggling to catch up with your content after a very long hiatus from the Internet for my mental health and now I'm struggling with a nasty chest infection after going to Blackpool for my birthday. I'm gonna have a nice bath and watch this with my fiance who is also sick now. Thank you for the flashbacks to the Panera Bread Gloves from Food Theory as well mate. Gonna watch the MRE video after this one
Wouldnt it be possible to use a smaller glove, fill it with baking beads or something, and then add a thin layer of dough on the outside and bake it like that? (Maybe add the foil to stop it from expanding too much)
Yeah that would be the "proper" way of tackling this challenge. You'd want the bread to be larger than the glove and if concerned of baking the glove, wrap it in foil after fitting your hand inside.
Hmmm, currently wondering if it would be possible to form a hand out of tinfoil, wrap a thin top and bottom layer of dough around the form, then baking the whole thing standing up, let it cool down, and you should end up with bread gloves that wouldn't need to be hollowed out to get your actual hands into them...
@@TheWorryingWolverine That would probably result better results, tho scupting an entire hand might be difficult so the glove can be a cheat option kinda way
You could freeze sausage shapes and put them in the fingers. Or you could cut the tips of the fingers off, then clamp them once they're filled. Or try piping the dough in. And spinning them to create centrifugal force.
Although it would have taken more time I think a better way to have made it instead of stuffing a glove and having to hollow it out is you fill a glove with something for it to keep it's shape, then cover the outside in the dough and finally make a layer on the outside of the dough so it keeps it's shape while baking. Essentially sandwiching (pun intended) the dough between two places, so you don't have to try and carve out the inside.
My take on this would have been: 1) buy silicone gloves; 2) fill them with balls of aluminium foil; 3) Wrap that contraption with the dough. Love your videos!
My lazy self would have gotten a small farmhouse and stuck different sized breadsticks in one end for fingers. So I applaud your actual wearable bread gloves 🍞🧤👏
I swear I've seen this before... maybe deja vu? Either way, impressive, Barry! I probably would've tried to do it more like a hollowed-out style mold, basically shoving my hand while wearing a glove into bread, then letting that bake (I'd probably not use my real hand when it was in the oven, though; just seems like a relatively bad idea, overall) and cutting off any excess before removing the glove. I think about it too much like baking cake, as I doubt this method would actually work. I dunno, any bakers wanna weigh in? Anyway, cheers all, and I wish you all a pleasant day. Enjoy your handwiches, Barry! You've earned them! heh.
I'm so confused... if making a glove, why not make two thin sheets of dough, like two pizzas, put them on top of eachother with something hand shaped in between /much bigger than your actual hand, maybe a baking sheet might work, and cut out a glove shape around it, pinshing the edges...? Not sure if I am explaining it well enough, but basically think "fabric" instread of making a statue and hollowing it out...? Still, very cool and funny results... ;)
I needed this! Thank you! I might have made a silica mold, filled it with plaster/hard food safe plastic/or something and wrapped hand rolled dough arround the outside. I like your way better.
Absolutely hilarious Barry! 😂😂😂 It’s Thursday, I don’t like Thursday for a few good reasons that are very depressing so I really look forward to your videos! If they come out on Wednesday I leave them to watch Thursday. If they come out on Friday I patiently wait! I’m just grateful for what you do! 😊
you need to think outside the box BARRY! NExt time fill the gloves with pinto beans and mold the dough around the glove and bake. that will leave a perfect hollowed out bread hand you can use right away !
I would’ve put small holes in the end of each fingertip, allowing the air to escape. Because as the yeast reacts oxygenates the bread it needs to escape somehow and the only escape as you found with the one that worked better had space for the air to escape
Hollowed out fresh bread..... Mmmmmm.. Reminds me of working in the garages in the '80's a bag of chips hollowed out crusty roll, stuff 'em in and scoff.
When you had the dough in the glove, if you had just held the glove tightly by the cuff, and then sharply whipped the glove forwards, as if you were throwing it, the dough would have been forced into the fingers. Alternatively you could have put the glove on the worktop, and rolled it with a rolling pin, to ease the dough into the fingers. Or made a runnier dough and poured it into the glove.
I'm thinking of the saying Barry... Your all fingers and thumbs today literally 😂😂. Good job though, well persevered too. One thing you truly are is a true grafter for the video to be the best it can and if your not happy with your attempt you try again and again which makes you such a good food influencer and that's why I love watching your vids puns galore 😂
There are heat save gloves made out of silocon looking like real gloves (on german they are called Backhandschuhe). They may have worked as mold better. Just the joy you had by making this was fun to watsh. And yes, I believe you are the first who bakes bread in a glove.
You could try again making a sort of bagel dough and coiling it around the outside of the glove which has been filled with rice. Then you dip it into the water to cook and hold the shape.
I you ever attempt this again, get some silicone kitchen gloves (not latex), fill them with baking beads, then slather the dough on the gloves' exterior, then suspend and bake.
So, I'm like this is silly, it will never work. The next thing I knew, I'm looking at 6 bread hands, wondering if the one holding the phone will lose its thumb, but make no mistake it was very silly.

I can't believe that bread didn't taste like a rubber band, that's how my fingers taste just wearing them.
You should re-visit the bread gloves for Halloween next year. Why stop there, bread feet and arms and heads !
Hysterical! I love your wife's reaction. This was a fun video to watch. I smiled and laughed throughout.
What happened to the survey you asked us to fill out?
Why not use a piping bag to fill the fingers? No tip, just the bag of dough?
I hear wearing bread gloves leads to the development of having butter fingers….
🤣😂🤣
Hahaha that's funny
I can't believe that's not funny.
So funny😂
NAW it's Crusty Knuckles
Why not put a pinhole at the tip of each finger in order to let the air escape but still retain the dough.
Valve?
Genius! I bet that would work!
Ms B must wake up every morning thinking wth is he gonna do today
As long as there's no toaster(if ur in the know then u know).
Feel like she has made him sign a contract saying that any thought involving a toaster has to be approved by her.
I was thinking the same. It's not just the toasters, though.
Loaf-ers next? Lol
Made with shoe pastry?
As a baker, this makes my soul happy... I needed this video today. I'm glad my headphones are charged. Otherwise, this whole medical center would be listening to Berry's shenanigans. ❤😂
I think k the medical centre could benefit from the shenanigans ngl
Barry, don’t bite the hands that feed you! 😂😂😂
Are kitchen gloves food safe? My mind keeps thinking the bread is going to taste like kitchen gloves.
Glad I'm not the only one 😂
They always have a powdery lining inside surely some of that made it into the bread.
@@NickBFTD My mouth went dry reading that. 😅
They make Turkish delight with roses, so why not bread with marigolds?
No.. SHOULD USE A food grade Mould
Completely agree. The whole time I was watching this I was asking myself "but how do you plan on getting your hands in there?"
Yep, came here to say this. I guess they'd be less likely to stay properly glove-shaped, maybe? But surely would have been easier. Like papier maché over a balloon
i did not think those household gloves were oven-safe or food-safe, but here we are, nothing's happened to Barry from eating glove bread....
All you needed to do was puncture the fingertips of the glove with a needle to let out the air.
If you wanted to try this with silicon (or possibly clay) then you could maybe create an entire bread person!
I would've thought fill the gloves with sand, tie them off, and then oil them and wrap the outside with dough or pastry with oiled dividers between the fingers. That way you can just untie, pour out the sand, and then put your hands in.
I thought I had a cold but it's clearly something much more serious that is causing me to hallucinate.
Shh, it's just a fever dream. Go back to sleep. 🤫
Ones with missing fingers look like an item you would find in Dark Souls / Elden Ring. "Right Hand of the Forgotten Scribe" or something like that.
These would have been perfect video for last week when it was Halloween, it would be perfect way to creep out colleagues and friends biting into a hand.
Let Boston run around with one.
Those look uncomfortably like the hands of an ancient Egyptian Mummy.
"Let's get bready to crumble!"
Imagine the chemicals leached into that bread.
I've been struggling to catch up with your content after a very long hiatus from the Internet for my mental health and now I'm struggling with a nasty chest infection after going to Blackpool for my birthday. I'm gonna have a nice bath and watch this with my fiance who is also sick now.

pretty sure those gloves arent food safe.

High five ✋ I’ve never laughed so much in my life 😅😂🤣Thanks for sharing Barry 🤪👍
I had a truly awful day, so thank you for uploading this, has cheered me up big time haha
Barry found the edibles then 😂
I didn't want to be the first person to say this😂
Mrs B's face when she saw what you had baked! 😂😂😂😂😂 so funny!!!
Let get Bready to Crumble 😂😂
Your delight in slipping your hand into the bread glove is delightful. You were tickled pink. lol
I've been watching your videos for years. This is absolutely one of if not the best.
They would make excellent halloween decos, put them in the garden and have the birds come and pick at them lol
Why didn't you fill the gloves with foil and wrap the dough around the outside of the gloves?
Pedicure is for your toes Barry!
what Why?
New movie : Shaun of the Bread 🧟♂️
Oh! Those definitely would be useful for chicken wings! Eat them so that afterwards you eat the gloves with all the sauce on them! 🍗🍗🍗
You could freeze sausage shapes and put them in the fingers.
Or you could cut the tips of the fingers off, then clamp them once they're filled.
Or try piping the dough in.
And spinning them to create centrifugal force.
that handwich looks like it slaps.
HANDO
Surely that is not safe to eat.
Matpat did the same thing with fashion! Good one😂😂😂😂
This got completely out of hand

after the news in the USA and stuff, I needed this silliness. Thank you.
You always surprise us!
My take on this would have been: 1) buy silicone gloves; 2) fill them with balls of aluminium foil; 3) Wrap that contraption with the dough. Love your videos!
This is the best thing you've ever done ever😂
My lazy self would have gotten a small farmhouse and stuck different sized breadsticks in one end for fingers. So I applaud your actual wearable bread gloves 🍞🧤👏
I have so many concerns about the gloves use in this 🙈🙈 Don't they have a flocked inside?
I swear I've seen this before... maybe deja vu? Either way, impressive, Barry! You got yourself some "bread sticks".
You mentioned it was like a "glove piping bag" which sounds like a great idea on its own... pipe from 5 holes at the same time!
Never miss a video! And bet they were comfy Barry
I'm so confused... if making a glove, why not make two thin sheets of dough, like two pizzas, put them on top of eachother with something hand shaped in between /much bigger than your actual hand, maybe a baking sheet might work, and cut out a glove shape around it, pinshing the edges...? What a mad and fun video Barry. Mrs B's reaction when she saw the bread gloves was hilarious. 😆
Absolutely hilarious Barry! 😂😂😂

This is one of the best things we've ever watched on RUclips.
You could stuff the glove full of dough and then freeze it so the glove can be removed prior to baking without maiming the hands.
you need to think outside the box BARRY! NExt time fill the gloves with pinto beans and mold the dough around the glove and bake. that will leave a perfect hollowed out bread hand you can use right away !
make a couple for your feet, You'll have a nice pair of loafers...
3:24 imagine Mrs Barry walking in at this moment 😂😅
I'm like... won't they be toxic from the rubber gloves? Havent laughed this hard in ages.
The person in the image did look rather Barry like
".... will it be worth it!? " 😂 you read my mind 😅
16:17 Looks like a zombie hand turkey hahaha! It's never too late for Halloween! 😅
"I don't think anyone else in the world has done it." I think there's a reason for that, Barry!
I would’ve put small holes in the end of each fingertip, allowing the air to escape. Because as the yeast reacts oxygenates the bread it needs to escape somehow and the only escape as you found with the one that worked better had space for the air to escape
Oh, this cracked me up and I needed the laugh today! 😂I kept wondering what Mrs. B was going to say when she saw them. Glad for the laughs! :)
Hollowed out fresh bread..... Mmmmmm.. Reminds me of working in the garages in the '80's a bag of chips hollowed out crusty roll, stuff 'em in and scoff.
This video is so good! I can't stop watching!
Your funniest video to date! bloody brilliant 🤣 .... I'm well up for watching you make trifle slippers 😂
this is the best video I've seen on the internet for a while.
I won't waste my dough on such a half baked Idea.
The amount of thought he put into it is hilarious
I'm thinking of the saying Barry... Your all fingers and thumbs today literally 😂😂. Good job though, well persevered too. One thing you truly are is a true grafter for the video to be the best it can and if your not happy with your attempt you try again and again which makes you such a good food influencer and that's why I love watching your vids puns galore 😂
They would make some good halloween party food/decoration 😂
Lmao the one was so proper with the pinky out 😂
There are heat save gloves made out of silocon looking like real gloves (on german they are called Backhandschuhe). They may have worked as mold better. Just the joy you had by making this was fun to watsh. And yes, I believe you are the first who bakes bread in a glove.
Bread gloves might be the best kind of bread for Halloween
that was the funniest video you make yet, ideal for handburgers or finger buffet, and i like the video thumbnail, that's it i have no more hand puns.
You could try again making a sort of bagel dough and coiling it around the outside of the glove which has been filled with rice. Then you dip it into the water to cook and hold the shape.
For a second... It looked like the gauntlet. 😂
I laughed so hard with this one so good!!!
Bread nomnom xD
I you ever attempt this again, get some silicone kitchen gloves (not latex), fill them with baking beads, then slather the dough on the gloves' exterior, then suspend and bake.
🤣🤲🍞
You did an epic job!! Definitely had me laughing too ❤
So, I'm like this is silly, it will never work. The next thing I knew, I'm looking at 6 bread hands, wondering if the one holding the phone will lose its thumb, but make no mistake it was very silly.
Ah don't stick your hands into plaster of paris. You can loose fingers as plaster produces heat.
I glove this! 💙🧤
It would be fun for Halloween dinner even if you can’t wear them 😂😂
God Bless Mrs. B! 😂😂😂
I bet Chloe could get her hands in the gloves!
I’d go at it from the other way. Fill up the glove with flour and use it as a form, rather than a fillable mold.
.Cut a tiny hole at the end of each finger tip. this will let the air out, and you will know when it is filled by dough coming out the air hole
I can't help but feel making a mold of the glove first would help in some way
i think making hand shaped loaves may be a little easier if you ever decide to try this again
Completely bonkers 😂
I think if you stuff the gloves with something like foil. Then roll the dough out thin. Lay it on the gloves and then form it around the gloves.
Extremely entertaining🤣
Nice one Barry, you are the best, no one can lay a glove on you. But If those bad boys had of exploded while cooking your oven would have been toast!
Bread gloves to you too, Barry.
The great thing about this channel is that most of the videos could double as an "April Fool's Day" episode.
