I'd like to take this moment to appreciate the fact that SMG4 used songs from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, the one RPG-based Mario game right alongside Paper Mario (N64) that was actually a good shot at an RPG-based Mario game.
It's like if the trailer from SM64 came out and then on the day it came out Mario City Simulator came out. And when you put it in, Shugeriu Miyamoto 's ghost came out and said "HEY WHO LIKES THE OLD MARIO GAMES AM I RIGHT?!"
