This was incredibly helpful. My sister, who is 29 years old, has stage 4 de novo breast cancer that has metastasized to the liver. We live in the Netherlands. It's truly valuable to gain some structure in this new and frightening situation. I am so grateful for this very insightful video series. I will start part 2 now. Thank you sir!
This has been so helpful. Thank you so much. I have been searching for information specific to my wife's Her2 positive, stage 4, bone met, and this lecture series has given me the resource that I have been looking for. I feel a great sense of indebetness.
Paul, I'm incredibly touched by your comment. Thank you for taking the time to write it. It means so much to me that the talk has value. It's the only reason it was made. I wish you and your wife all the best in life. Basem
I have lived with stage 4 for just over 8 years, still in first line of treatment, and recently found a lump which has tested positive for her2, I was previously triple positive. I am scheduled for masectomy in the near future as it is confined to a small tumor in my breast. Would you think surgery is a good option at this point? I treated at Crosby for a short time
One can do it from either or both. Doing both actually had a slightly higher yield than one or the other. If your mom is in remission, which it sounds like she is, you can wait. If the cancer comes back i would do a biopsy and send the biopsy specimen for next generation sequencing at that time, assuming it is consistent with breast cancer.

Fantastic presentation! This is so helpful! Thank you so much for doing this! Hope more doctors could treat patients like their family members …
Thank you for this information. So empowering. More so thank you for your compassion.
Thank you for the kind words
I am sorry the pointer didn't project on the video. I was using it during the presentation, but it's not showing.

It that is all there is yes
I was a patient at crosby for a short while last summer, but transfered back to my original clinic
My mom had stage 4 HER2+. Does NGS need to be done on tumor tissue or from blood? If it was completed in 2019 would it be good to do it again?
