Thanks for reviewing this. I've attended the Ordinariate liturgy a few times although I'm not actually a member. You've helped me make up my mind to buy this book. Looks truly beautiful.
Another excellent review. I use this prayer book along with the Anglican Breviary and the 1662 and 1928 BCP. Its quite good. Your channel is excellent and very helpful to others seeking more information.
Yep! I love my St Gregory’s prayer book. My solution was to buy Bible ribbons and simply add them, so it looks like a regular breviary now. As for the BCP 1922, yes please review it. Love your channel.
Coming to your channel. Love it! So many of these "Anglo-Catholic" styled pray books are very similar, are they not? I have the St Augustine's Prayer Book which has much the same format and materials. What separates them, in your view?
St. Gregory’s has much more material. The prayer rule also lines up more with the Book of Common Prayer. St. Augustine’s prayer book does not have the Collect prayers. Also, St. Gregory’s is Roman Catholic if that is important to you
@@ConvincedCatholicism Thank you. I worship as an Anglo-Catholic Episcopalian ( in the St. Thomas 5th Ave tradition) with a continuing great respect for the Roman liturgy. Will definitely look to purchase a copy of St. Gregory's PB. Cheers!
I’m tempted to get this. I’d love to see an Ordinariate Mass, but the closest to me is apparently Nebraska, and I’m in Minnesota, so that’s not happening.
@@ConvincedCatholicism lucky. There’s some Byzantine rite close by for me I suppose and I could take a twenty minute walk to a Latin mass, so I’ll take victories when I can
Thank you very much for this review and in general work what you done, you're doing great Job keep it up. Could you tell me where did you get those book markers ?
I have the morning and evening labeled, the psalter, the collects for Sundays, the collects for feasts and different devotions. However I would recommend using the prayer book regularly to see what sections you work with the most
Thanks for the video! Can you share which tabs you added and on which pages? I'd love to do the same. I just got this book and would love to make it easier to flip through. Thanks!
Daily Devotions, Morning and Evening Prayer, Psalms, Sunday Collects, Collects for Feasts, Seasonal Devotions, Eucharistic Adoration, Our Lady of Sorrows, Litany of the Saints, Prayers for the Dead, Prayers for Various Occasions. All respectively on: 45, 54, 83, 103, 121, 142, 249, 347, 375, 399, 405
The CTS Breviary is wonderful! It is the full office of course. However, if you are looking for a book that you can pray at home AND bring to church, St. Gregory’s is better and more affordable
Thanks for the review. I am an ACNA Anglo-Catholic who was blessed to recieve a copy of this book for my birthday, and it is a jewel.
Dale! I am a big fan!
Hope one day we are one - an Ordinariate Catholic

Just got fed your channel.
Have my own missal, but glad to see these review!

I love using the St. Gregory's Prayer Book when I do not use my actual breviary.

I have this and love it. Are there any other catholic prayer books you know of which cover such a wide scope of devotions?
There are a few. Blessed Be God, Handbook of prayer, My God and My All
@@ConvincedCatholicism thank you, that blessed be God one looks interesting. in your opinion, how would those compare to the Publican's prayer book?
Apples to oranges. Publicans prayer book is Eastern Catholic. Totally different prayers. Roman Catholics would be quite unfamiliar with those prayers
@@ConvincedCatholicism Okay, thank you. 👍
The font was too small for me in the print edition, but the Kindle version is a great alternative.
It is small. I have good vision thank God. Glad you enjoy the kindle version

It is a great book. The nearest Ordinariate Mass to me is about an hour away.

Tks for the review I just got this prayer book. Just curious how do you have the tabs labeled?

@@ConvincedCatholicismtks. Do you think you could review the people’s prayer book and Mary my Hope prayer book from Catholic book publishing?
@@andrewclarke3044 I certainly can. I will just have to order some copies
My only problem with this book is that it does not lay flat, it’s not easy to hold with one hand, no matter how much you bend the book.
It would have been nice to have a lay flat binding. I don’t personally have an issue with holding it in just one hand. I agree though, quite stiff

Thanks the book is definitely a good choice
@@ConvincedCatholicism thoughts of this compared to the CTS Divine Office Daily Office? I think you reviewed that too. I’m in the US.

This channel is one of the worst things to happen to my bank account.
Sorry!
Anglicans are not catholic 😮
No, they aren’t but many have converted and have joined the Personal Ordinariate. They were allowed to keep their traditions.
