Back in the day, we ran a smooth pulley for the idler on our top alcohol dragster. WE never broke a belt in 5 years.
I Doubt that and you probably wasn't running anywhere near the hp these guys are running.

Ryan Martin and Kyle Kelly had similar problems but opposite outcomes. The difference is the level of race programs. Gotta give it to Ryan and his team.
Not taking anything away from him cause he no doubt has a badass program, but Ryan didn’t make the call for round 1 and we did 🤷♂️ He drew a lucky chip to get in the winners bracket. I got lucky when Justin crossed, but we busted ass and put my car in the beams under power to get there 💪
