what also affected Tyson guy was within his first 8 steps he was stepping out to side on each step, which made the distance covered much shorter than Yohan Blake's.
True. Also Blake maintaind his drive phase longer, thus more efficient in the first 30; while Tyson aborted his drive phase early, probably panicked when he saw that he was falling behind Yohan.
Has anybody ever seen some reliable splits for this run? I wonder what the top end split was given he did this with no wind assistance at all and could have been a 9.59'ish with a 2m/s wind. Must have been almost the same as Bolt at Berlin surely?
blake is also in a crunch start it looks like both legs are at 90 degrees. I wonder if thats why his first step is so short but quick. That angle allows you to step short and quick instead of long. Maybe that is more effective than having one at 90 and one at 120 although when the leg is at 120 it allows you to step further out. thoughts?
Hey this may be a dumb question but in sprinting I have a little bit of a dilemma. So I was told that ground force is what makes a sprinter fast but I tried putting a lot of force, almost like a hammer and there has been no noticeable improvements. Then I question should your legs focus on going forward with knee and quad drive? Or does everything go downwards?
Pwnya145 putting alot force is only half of it you have to get your foot off the ground fast enough to move forward thats why you don't see strongmen sprinting even though they have a alot of force, also called your turnover rate
Only do that at the beginning of the sprint. After that you will notice you reach a point where you cant feel the ground pushing off as much almost as if ur foot is slipping instead of really pushing off the ground. This is when u are at top speed and from this point u should only focus on relaxing and keeping this momentum going into the finish and nothing else. Not turnover, not high knees none of that just focus on keeping and holding your top speed and staying tall. The less tired you are at the end of the sprint the better you did. Weird i kno.
Just imagine being on a treadmill which is going very fast. Well if you get on that treadmill u will find u cant get a good push on the ground as u would if the ground were just standing still. its the same thing when u are running the ground acts as a treadmill would. The faster u go, the faster the ground is moving underneath you and the less amount of force u can put into the ground to push u forward. This is why u cant just keep gaining speed forever by pushing into the ground every stride. It only works in the beginning
I have no expertise in this field, but to me it looks like Blake has shorter arm swing than Gay. Maybe it's because he has a shorter step. But it looks like the way he moves his arms is with more force but is a shorter swing length. This probably creates more force with each step.
You're absolutely right. Even Michael Johnson pointed that out. Your arms move in concert with legs so Gay raising his arm as high as did compared to Blake already cost him hundredths of a second.
@@anthonyclarke2253 Ya, with his shorter legs and shorter arm swing it seems like Blake's mechanics are more tuned for power and acceleration. Perfect for a 100m dash but I imagine he wouldn't perform as well at in longer sprints.
I noticed Yohan is left legged and the rest of the field is right legged. It seems the left leg has greater mechanical advantage in hitting the track first. Does anyone know what orientation the top ten sprinters are?

Is it just me or does Ben Johnson’s 9.79s gold medal race in Seoul 88 seem faster than this race despite this one being a whole tenth of a second faster?
You jealous non-athletes are something else. You claim everyone is on drugs because you don't have a shred of athletic ability. You would never reach their level even if you had the best doctors to prescribe and administrator the supposedly best so-called peds available. If you self righteous hypocrites only knew. The so-called peds, only enable athletes to recover quickly after hard intense workouts. In other words, they only allow athletes to work hard more frequently during the week of training. At the end of the day great athletic ability and potential is still required. Steroids don't make people faster. If this were the case, body builders and weight lifters would be the fastest people in the world. This is why I am so happy that Yohan Blake, Usain Bolt, Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce are Jamaican. They don't have to live in and represent a country where racist and jealous non-athletes would tear them down. You Americans are so damn fake. One minute you are cheering USA for people like Marion Jones and Justin Gatlin and the next minute you are tearing them down. Jamaicans love, appreciate and their athletes. White Americans tear down their black athletes.
Yohan Blake’s foot speed is above most pros...
Can’t run 9.69 with slow foot speed
Apparently, Carl Lewis has a different opinion about how to put down the first several strives. But I think you have got the point here.
Appreciate this. Don’t know why I’m just seeing this 🙈
what also affected Tyson guy was within his first 8 steps he was stepping out to side on each step, which made the distance covered much shorter than Yohan Blake's.
ANDROID he wishes his last name was guy

Yohan is back after that devastating injury. We are still praying Yohan - you will get there again!!
Awesome he is still competing
Beast mode form of his life.
Lol when everything comes together 🙌🏻💯

Yohan Blake was straight forward everyone else was going back and forth
what do you mean
Kinda ironic that you mentioned Blake's vulnerability to injury on his left leg and then a couple of seasons later he injures his left hamstring lol.

You do such a good just b explaining sprinting but I always wanted you to do a break down of Justin Gatlin especially his drive phase
We will do an individual Justin Gatlin breakdown
Hopefully you have seen the Justin Gatlin breakdowns I have done 🙏💯
Tell me how he did this into a head wind
This was a demonstration of efficient use of his power. The headwind effects were negligible.
Would have been crazy to see what he got with a tailwind
blake wasn't catching gay tho blake was already ahead at the start
TheoOJamaloO1 I made the same observation.
When Blake puts it all together he is one of the best ever!
superb analyis
Thank you 🙏💪🏻
I was just analysing the same thing 🎉😊 on the previous vid

Pwnya145 It's about proper force... not just stomping.
That’s funny they have the same amount of steps but that’s also weird hahaaa
Yeah just means more ground force..
This video analyzes how to sprint forward and sprint backward but not how to sprint upward.

@@jonfklein The 400 is definitely not one his strengths but he is a he is the 2nd fastest man over the 200 as well as the 100m.
Yeah this is something I have been emphasizing in my coaching where that quick wrist action really limits how much arm swing is needed to run fast

I think it has to do with what your natural inclination is. Sort of like whether you learned to write with your left hand or right hand.
there is no mechanical advantage....it's a leg...you take off with the one you feel most comfortable with.

From side view please we can’t understand what you want to say form this angle thank you
We will work on getting a better angle. Thank you for the insight
Running fast is pretty simple: you just keep putting one leg in front of the other and do it as fast as you can.
Yes but running 9.69 is not easy
6:40 They were about to finish but a grizzly bear suddenly showed up at the finish line, so they hastily hit rewind.
Can anyone tell me where the fuck Yphan Blake at
Lol he’s in lane 4

👀
Blake have more potiential he can break WR here if wind was 1.2m/sec
*+2.0m/s

Drug cheat you know this is not legal. These guys are all on the juice he will never even come close to this time again.
blake struggles to get under 10sec now, his days at the top of the sprinting world are gone
