I’ve been doing this for a little while now, since ink pads are more accessible for me with a small workspace. Works great with versafine ink pads as well

Great knowing can do it with oxide ..I have done it with Momento dye ink and copy paper and like you I don't wait for it to dry .. Thanks for this 🤩

That's all I use is Memento dye inks. Never saw his before. I'll have to give it a go. Thanks!
FYI, dye ink might stain your plate. It won’t ruin it but heads up. 😍

Great idea making use of geli plate. I am going to try it icing my art sealer spray at the end rather than gel medium to seal the image. Tanks for the idea (and Leandre too!).

What a great technique and kudos for crediting your source. I haven't tried it, but if someone does want to use watercolor paper, maybe the hot press will be smooth enough.

I couldn’t figure out at first what you putting the ink on to until a little half thru the video I figured out that it was a gel plate.

@@MixedMediaArtByTrina I literally ordered a gel plate after watching this! I've done a lot of print making in collage but we never dealt with gel plates and this is something small and simple I can do in my basement studio! Thank you again for the inspiration!💜

Witch!!!! I have NEVER been able to get an image transfer let alone one as fantastic as this. Will try it but so doubtful by now!
Yes! I am a witch. 🤣 It’s a relatively easy technique. Make sure you use a dark Distressed Oxide color. You got this! 😍

I wonder if hot press watercolor paper might work, being it's so smooth? This is genius! Thank you for sharing.
I think it would work. You can also use matte photo paper which doesn’t need to be sealed with acrylic medium. 😍

I forgot to add that when you use the matte photo paper you can’t reactivate the oxide inks. 😬
