those Monty v6's opened up a can o' whoop, but the 2.5 promax and super mags are just such special motors with that "factory custom feel" to them. Had a 225 promax on my hydrostream Vking copy. loved it because they last forever compared to a 245, 260 or 280.
My backyard growing up. It’s Lake Eustis in Eustis, Fl, Tavares is 5 miles away. I’ve known the Frabott and Weizenecker families since elementary school. I used to put my Allison XB2002 in at that boat ramp almost every weekend back in the day.
Oct. 11-12-13 we will be at jasper tn 2 days we ride to chattanooga and 1 day we ride into alabama. There will be a lot of boats doing that on those dates

Sry, I just smoked a joint n can't remember if you told us what boat ur running. What's up w ur hydrostream project? U outta see my sportfire, can't wait for the next stage of her life n her merc carb 200 or 2.4 chrome block w Horizontal, 200 carbs n flow the chest.
At 7:15, or so, your boat was proposing really bad. That's scrubbing off a whole lot of potential acceleration. Just spit balling here, seems like your trimmed too far out on launch. maybe time launch with trim a bit better? I'd rather be a bit late on trim out, and get my hull to 'set', than be trimmed out too much, and have to deal with a proposing ride. I say this, because I have decades of experience with dealing with the ill handling Hydrostreams... and Mine is the worst of the worst, a bowrider Voyager XT, and a heavy ass 3.6L Johnrude V8. BTW, so far, You 'hinted' at the absolute master ( Gordon "Monty" Mondegue) very early in this video, but so far, it's been all merc/mariner motors. Monty motors are the shit... Ask me how I know....
Yeah this boat hops no matter what at 25-50 mph so drag racing isn't ideal for that boat. But she got retired after that race, ill be releasing the new ride here shortly!!

These are all drag boats in this video but alot of them still river ride!

Personally no but I don't know why it wouldnt be if you could get it light enough
