Do you want to see more OBS tutorials for Mac?

Hi Andy, Yes, more tutorials for installations on Mac please. More specifically the ones that don't have a .dmg file to install. I am grateful to Exledro for making the installation easy, but others do not. I had successfully installed software in the past by putting the files in folders that seemed to match up with the installers it came in, but some took a lot of tries and took a lot of time doing it. As you might guess I am not a programmer, so the newer OBS's seem to have a different file menu or structure. For ex. It took me many months of trial and error to install Background Removal by Roy Shilkrot and the newer OBS's don't seem to have those same folders to install them in. I understand that he may not have updated Background Removal for the current OBS, but I am still at a loss to install other things that don't have the .dmg file.....after saying that I thought I read on the OBS board that someone did install BR. However, I wouldn't know how. Thanks so much for all your videos. I've learned a lot!

The part thats missing is where the plugin gets installed to (which isn't automatically the right folder for the plugin to show up once OBS is opened). Where is the plugin installed and what folder does it need moved to in order for it to work/be seen by OBS?

literally this, no creator has said this in a video even though its the most asked question. We install the .pkg but have 0 idea where its going, I searched my entire macintosh HD drive where it says its being installed to but nothing is there
Edit: I’m an idiot, I didn’t restart the OBS application after installing the plugin. Instantly showed up in effects lists after restarting the app

go into application/obs/ rclk show contents/resources/plugins find the plug in you want to remove and throw it in the trash. it will no longer show up in the ops filters menu.

Never install a plug-in from a developer not certified by Apple. There is a reason why Apple is a safe OS with very few viruses, etc.

This advice is terrible. How can you expect indie developers pay for signing and verification? I made 3 plugins for Mac. I am not certified. They are not virus’
