Thanks. Just took one problem at a time. And went through 5-10 revisions for fitment and functionality on most of them lol. The front bumper, as simple as it is, was like 12 revisions to get it to sit in just the right spot and allow the cab to tilt behind it.
This reminds me of my first truck I hauled boats so we would stretch a standard frame to 30 feet then lay a deck on the frame and move the 5th wheel to the rear down low behind the tractor called a stinger . then build the trailer 45 foot long including the 5th wheel all open frame for an overall length of 75 feet . You did a really nice job on this one sir.
@@crawlersncustoms Thanks man that was in the 80's you could put a 20 foot boat on the truck and a 45 foot sailboat on the trailer when you hung the mast off the side it would stick out past the rear almost 15 feet sometimes .makes for interesting turns in town.
I just found your channel a couple three weeks ago and what an amazing library of stuff that was created. We are in our busy season and I won’t be able to see much now but later this winter I will start watching your older videos.
Thanks man! I appreciate that. Have a good weekend. I’m actually working on that Semi right now (and haven’t worked on it for over a year). Getting the lights done and tying up some loose ends.
@@crawlersncustoms well I appreciate people that take the time to do things right. I thought I was doing cool stuff until I watched your channel. But that’s the stuff that makes people better. That semi is so interesting how you turned around the dig transmission to work like a line lock, so cool
Well done, it really has the feel of a cabover, I drove a Freightliner and Volvo for a while when I was a driver, one thing I would do is add air bags under the rear of the cab so it helps with the weight, they would go between the cab and frame, again great job, I think I need to build one
Thx. It’s actually something I want to do. If you notice in the video there’s a guide bracket on the back of the cab. It will get replaced with a more scale part with small tpu bags for suspension.
Your Truck is FANTASTIC build very detailed very nice mine is a bit shorter only 11x12x26 or so long she's heffty though close to 11lbs still work in progress
Love this truck! I've used similar aluminum stock for frames on a couple of 1/6 scale custom crawlers I built. I totally agree with you about the 1/14 semis, they just don't fit in with my 1/10 crawlers and cars! What transmission was that? Very well done. I want one.. I'm in the middle of putting a Toyan FS-L200 in my CEN F450 but I think once I'm done I'll gonna get into building something like this.
