I don't know why this channel has become so active now and these great episodes are being uploaded, but I'm thrilled and grateful. The timing couldn't be better as my old VHS tapes of Helen's lessons have had it. Thank you! Hard to believe it's 30 years since she passed. Bless you, Helen!
Sadly, Helen passed away in 1994 after a long battle with cancer. Despite her illness, she continued to produce lessons, selflessly imparting her knowledge for posterity. She was an accomplished artist and teacher, loved by her students and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
@@HelenVanWyk And those qualities come across in these shows. She's loved even separate from the great lessons, for herself. Helen was an incredible giving person, who cared deeply about painting and her students....and everyone who tunes in to these lessons ,back then and now, are her students. Thank you!
Sadly, Helen died in 1994. She was a fantastic artist/teacher. The video quality is not up to current standards but her teachings remain as current as ever.
