It's cause he's using track chains with bushings. Use a 3/32 roller road chain like Surly and Wabi do if you want quiet. The quietest chain is probably the black teflon coated YBN single speed. Crupi BMX sells one called the Crupi Expert for 15 bucks, same strength as the Izumi, great deal.
