I actually kinda hate The Emoji Movie more than this for the opposite reason as them. The Emoji Movie tries to pretend that there's just as much of a groundbreaking, emotionally powerful story in Emojis as there was in Inside Out. Angry Birds is at least aware that there's not that much to work with.

Rob seems to get slowly more and more angry and red to the point of completely losing his mind, but Doug slowly loses all of his emotion with small hysterical outbursts as some sort of way so cope with the horror that they must sit through.

Normally I get a laugh out of these first viewings that Doug and Rob do but this one I felt like I was right along side them, suffering through it

DeathKnightofAnime I watched the nostalgic critic video of this movie. Found out just how bad this movie was. Then I watch this and while I'm laughing at their jokes at the same time in just like 'omg someone stop this movie already!' I still haven't seen this movie and I'm glad I saw these video first because my god now I don't have to torture myself trying to watch it on tv o_o

Personally i liked the movie
ccrstarpanda its actually pretty good, yeah the jokes in it suck but the message is pretty good, the characters are all interesting atleast and its probably the best job anyone has ever done of making a movie from a game.

_God_ do I miss the Rankin/Bass 'The Hobbit' and 'The Return of the King' movies (oddly enough, they never did a 'Fellowship of The Ring' or a 'The Two Towers' movie). Sure it was kinda cheesy in spots, but holy fuck was it better than this. Hell, watching a bird beat a snake to death is more entertaining than this.
Chakat Stripedfur Ralph Bakshi did a FotR and TTT adaptation with his movie.
Well yeah, but I was talking about Rankin/Bass. Don't think I ever watched the Ralph Bakshi films, not that I remember anyway. I might've, though, it was just so long ago.

I'm sorry, you are right. There is a bit of a grammatical error (or many) in the statement above. I wrote it as if I was talking to Rob & Doug out loud, not writing a statement. Simply put I love watching Rob & Doug go crazy while watching movies such as Green Lantern, Kangaroo Jack, and (this movie) The Angry Birds Movie. I feel terrible getting joy from their suffering. I can't get enough of it. I think the videos where Doug & Rob suffer for the enjoyment of their fans in particular are awesome and I appreciate them doing that. Also while proof reading this comment I realized it comes across as a little passive aggressive, I just wanted to let you know that I did not mean for this comment to be taken in that way, nor did I mean for there to be any confusion in the initial comment. I appreciate the constructive criticism and will endeavor to be more clear in the future.

I'm really surprised they didn't have the whiskey out for this one. Or at least go fetch it once the first ten minutes had confirmed their worst fears. I really can't imagine sitting through that movie sober.

King Gargantuas yea, you could at least get some humor out of the Simpsons movie. Angry birds only got me with 1 joke which was the bird sign scene. Also note that this was the portion from the trailer and not the full movie.

AC hasn't been irrelevant. Hell, E3 just announced they're going to have another one. I've only played 2 and Brotherhood, platted both.

That scene where the unspeakable travesty that the one character from anger management did is kinda amazing.
What's amazing is that the screenwriter for this is Jon Vitti who wrote some of the best Simpsons episodes like Mr. Plow, Cape Feare and Lisa's Substitute.
He probably wrote the better jokes in this

Buckythestickman The third act actually tries to replicate the game in a way. Not that it excuses anything else, but at least, at some point, it remembered it was based on a video game. That’s more than you can say for other video game movie adaptations.
The Angry birds game is just about a bunch of bids blowing up or "storming" pig castles to rescue their stolen eggs
The entire third act of the film is the birds storming/blowing up the pigs city/fortress to rescue their stolen eggs.

Though brief, I loved the mime moment in the Sonic movie as well.
I'm not gonna lie. This is insanely therapeutic. I had to sit through this at a double feature at a drive in movie theater, and it was freaking AGONIZING. I managed to kill ten minutes at the snack bar, but that wasn't enough. I'll admit there are points where the animation is kind of pretty, but that is the only compliment I can give it. The rest is garbage. The only reason I sat through this mess was to see Captain America Civil War, and if that movie wasn't as amazing as it was, I would have left an emotionless husk. Screw this movie. There are better games out there to adapt.
KC reviews - For a movie that is called "Angry Birds", this is the kind of bird crap I would expect. But still, this movie was painful to sit through! Clearly more effort was put into the animation and soundtrack than the writing and basically everything else!

I didn't think anything would top their Kangaroo Jack first viewing in terms of beautiful rage, but this might have done it. And they were SOBER this time. Think about that.

5:24 just thought of a funny joke here for the movie. They drop it, destroy the whole house, then lift it back up and anchor the boat somewhere completely different. Gives you more of a reason to hate the pigs and it may not make a lot of sense, but it’s funnier than what actually happened.
Or if they drop it right on top and it hits so hard that the house turns into dust
