Thanks for posting this video. My problem was oil on the aperture blades but rather than disassembling the fragile aperture mechanism, instead I removed the oil by soaking the entire aperture mechanism (once it had been removed it from the lens block) several times in fresh quantities of "shellite" (a volatile organic petroleum distillate used for metal cleaning or as a stove or lighter fluid).
Thank you so much for this video. I opened my Helios 44m4 to clean it and for some reason I was not being able to reassembly it again. You just save me.
Thank you! Very helpful as mine disassembled itself and I need to assemble it again but when I get to the end, when I screw the 3 on the sides, the aperture control gets stuck. If I lift it like half a mm (less than that) it works great. Any guess what I am doing wrong?
Nevermind, I already managed to solve that problem. But now that it is assembled and with aperture control working, focus ring only goes to 1m. Any ideas?
In my Helios 4 the little element in min. 6.01 is broken. I don't know any way to find it! Maybe also it's too expensive to buy. Finally i have to trash the lens?
Nice video, thanks! I have problem with the assembly. At 6:00 you fix one of the small brass element with the two small screws. I think I have done exactly as on the video. But after I have fixed it, nothing happened - I turn the focus ring, but it does not lift up and down the lenses. I might make something wrong but I do not know what... I do it again and again, but no success. I tried to screw the focusing ring totally to the base element (5:30) - no movement allowed - but then the whole construction will be a static, moveless thing... Can somebody tell me what can be the problem?
Tibor Horváth yeah, I'm getting problems around minute 6 as well. I think you have to switch the brass elements and it will move. But as it isn't possible to see in which exact position the front is screwed, it doesn't go all the way in the end

it was very helpful for my HELIOS-44-M-7 too. It would be even better in normal speed! thanks!

Problem solved. Screwed it on the infinite focus position and now it is working fine. Thank you for your video once again.

That is great!
How made a centre of lens?
Is this lense radioactive??
Thank you! :)
What happen at 5:55. I can't skew the two elements
thanks :)
