This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for, I don't have an embroidery machine yet but you've pointed me towards a bunch of accessories that I'll need to also get to be able to start right away. Thanks!
I spent 3 hours this morning looking up all sorts of stuff about embroidery machines only to be more and more confused. This is the first video I’ve seen on the subject and you answered nearly all of my questions in an easy to understand way. Thank you!! I’m interested in embroidering hats primarily, and I’m not sure how that changes things.
I started my journey with a Brother PE150 but it had little cards and was limiting. Moved on to SE400 loved it because it could also sew. It was a move up from 150, but to get my designs I had to download to my computer and move over to the SE400. Now greedy me, wanted a bigger hoop and I’ve advanced to a Pathfinder (8x12) hoop and I’m in heaven. I added magnetic hoops and I enjoy Embroidery even more. May your days be filled with Good Sewing!!
I started with a used Brother PE900 for the same reasons. I had it for about 2 months, gave it to Goodwill, and then purchased a Tajima SAI. Not exactly big time but perfect for me to get started in my small studio. I'm in love with machine embroidery, thanks for sharing your expertise and tips! 😀
@@NurturedbyNatureStudio I’m planning on investing in an embroidery machine for next year, and right now the Brother PE900 is the exact model I’m eyeing. Any advice or experience you might like to share?
@@princess7strawberry I think the Brother is great for beginners. There's a lot of info and supplies available in terms of RUclips tutorials, accessories, local dealers, etc to help you get started. For me...I just realized quickly that a single-needle machine was going to be too tedious for me for color changes (but plenty of people run their small businesses off of them). If it's for a hobby or just to get started I don't think you can go wrong with the model you're considering.
thank you so much for this! i'm time poor with my little one at the moment and you made this is so simple and easy to understand! i really appreciate you!

This is THE most informative while straightforward video I’ve ever watched for anything. Kudos! Thanks very much for sharing your embroidery journey beginning.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m thrilled to hear you found the video so informative and straightforward. Your support means a lot! 💜 Let us know if there’s anything else you’d like to learn or see. 🌟
Loved video, am new and want to learn. My daughter just bought me a Brother SE700. What videos will help me learn to use the embroidery machine. FYI, I am an experienced seamstress but have never done machine embroidery.
Thank you, Alice! 😊 I’m so glad you found the video educational. Embroidery is such a rewarding craft, and it’s perfect for bringing textile designs to life. Best of luck with your three projects-feel free to reach out if you need any tips or guidance! 💜✨ - Ken
If we were to buy design doodler is that all we need to do the design with the embroidery machine? I am a novice and have this same machine. I cannot wait to learn with you. Thank you for a great video. I keep coming back to this.
Great question, Chelsea! 😊 Mesh stabilizer is best for lightweight or stretchy fabrics like knits, as it provides support without adding too much bulk. Cut-away stabilizer, on the other hand, is ideal for more stable fabrics or designs with a lot of detail and stitches, as it offers long-term stability.
We're glad you enjoyed the video. That's a fantastic suggestion! We'll definitely consider creating a tutorial featuring an entry-level multi-needle machine for beginners in our upcoming content. Stay tuned and happy embroidering! 💙
Really new to embroidery, wondering if the bobbin thread color is supposed to be the same color as the thread you are using? Or is it supposed to be white? Thank you
Great question! 😊 Normally, bobbin thread is either white or black. With the correct tension settings, you won’t see it in the final design. Changing bobbin colors for every thread would also take too long, especially in production. 💜 Let us know if you have more questions!
Nice job! I do think starting with a 6x10 inch hoop is better if you can. There are a lot of entry level machines with this size. Also be sure to buy from a local dealer with dependable service and repair and go there and try the machines out. There should be good support for classes too!
Thank you for your comment! Starting with a 6x10 inch hoop is a great choice, especially for those who plan to work on larger projects. Buying from a local dealer with reliable service and repair is excellent advice. Trying out machines in person and ensuring there's support for classes can make a big difference in your embroidery journey 💙
Heyy! I am thinking of creating my own clothing brand , And will start customised Embroided Hoodies , And Tee’s … Which Embroidery machine you would suggest me , And any advices??
Great question, James! 😊 Once you’ve uploaded the design and set everything up on the machine (like threading and stabilizing), the machine does take over and stitches the design automatically. You’ll just need to monitor it occasionally to ensure everything runs smoothly, especially if you’re working with multiple thread colors.
Hi , I bought a PE535 since 2019 the manual does not full explain ie, the English is not standard. Will you do a Video so I can learn to use my machine. Please cm don't let your hand block the steps. Thank you
Yes, you can use this machine to embroider and customize hats! 😊 You’ll need a special hoop that you can purchase for this purpose, though it works best on unstructured hats. 💜
Bro can I get brother se725 for a big chest design and did you embroider that design you are holding with the se600 , I want to buy that design you are holding in the video

Hey! Ken here - I started out with Simthread 1000m packs. They work well :) For higher quality I use madeira polyneon 40wt 1000m threads. The most important part is the thread weight (40wt) and type (polyester). Hope this helps!!

Awesome! You’re gonna love it-it’s super satisfying to see your designs come to life. 🙂
Yes this!! I had no idea what a stabilizer was and google was somehow no help. And the point about the needles and thread weight!

One can start with SE600 with a repositioning hoop and an embroidery editing software. The hoop size is not limiting, it only makes one more creative.
Any machine with that size is well over 2k.
