It being a slow burn makes sense when you consider Loid is completely dedicated to his goal and Yor has never had normal relationship with anybody. Loid threw away his past identity to become twilight and closed himself off from personal attachments after making that decision. Yor had Yuri, but she never has had any intimate relationships or even friends.
This anime is the slow cooker of all slow cookers. But boy oh boy when you finally eat that meal it can be some of the best ever. I truly hope they do it justice in the manga
The little detail of Yor holding onto Anya while she was sleeping was cute. Even while she's asleep, she wants to make sure Anya's safe. And her sleeping soundly on Loid displays more of how she feels about him, as instead of her head hanging off to the back, her subconscious knows she feels safe and comfortable with him, so she's nestled into him. It's the little details in this show that make it so good.
"No kiss, no hug, no babymaking..." They are definitely getting there. We might even see a HUG before the end of this season! Yes, this is paint-drippingly slow and it's torture - but oh , such sweet and cute torture!
Yor decided to keep being an assassin actually. She said part of the reason she was an assassin aside from financially supporting Yuri is because killing bad guys is a means to protect him from war. They have the same reason for doing their jobs. She also said that it's more important to keep her assassin job now more than ever because she has more people to protect. And back in episode 8 or 9, she believes that if she dies in a mission, and Loid finds out that he would still acknowledge and accept her.
Apparently the last bit where they all talk about lying but think something else is the author’s favorite….. because it embodies the theme of the entire show
That man Loid... Yor is so pretty he will believe every single word that come out of her mouth, and hes right for doing that, cuz id be the same way... He doesnt question her at all...
I really wondered why Loid(Twilight) didn’t suggest for Yor to gift her colleagues consumables, especially since he helped her gift Yuri snacks. My 2 theories are 1) she seemed excited to gift that souvenir specifically and his budding feelings/care for her let him make an exception to allow her to make that choice. And 2) While he’s constantly trying to be on good terms with Yuri knowing he’s Secret Police, beyond the minimum impression that she’s in a fulfilling marriage, there’s no need in the mission for Yor to have strong or good bonds with her colleagues. If she was friends with people he needed to get close to, like the Desmonds, I’m confident it’d be a very different situation. I personally like to think it’s primarily theory 1 but he justifies it in his mind and on paper with theory 2.
I love this show so much 😍! It's so refreshing to have a family as main characters. Love the wholesome vibe this anime has. BTW:Anya is surrounded by world class liars,lol🤣
