Ed Frid is one of Rick Green’s greatest character inventions. This show is brilliant. All characters are carefully designed and fill in the show perfectly.
Funny, he's probably my least favorite. Idk why, maybe it's just the shtick about an animal control worker being afraid of animals gets old quick; or it's his neurosis gets to me maybe. That's just me though.
Let’s all just take a moment to acknowledge that the cordless drill mixer was probably one of Red’s most practical things on the series. I’ve done it now too and works fantastic
I found out , and it doesn't surprise me , that Wayne Robson aka Mike Hamar made a significant chunk of his professional earnings doing voices for kids advertising and cartoon characters . He also had minor to supporting actor roles in a good number of movies and tv shows, in canada and the us . Robson did an excellent job on the show filling the void when Harold(Patrick McKenna) was trying his luck in Hollywood. Mike left us in 2011 . I think it's safe to say Wayne Robson "is in a better place now " .
Yeah I remember watching the rescuers I think and i was like i know that voice of one the animals.had to look it up and saw it was him. He also played the parts of some murder doxumentaries.
not sure , and i ain't really into these sort of movies, he acted in small to moderate parts in a slasher , gore horror film Wrong Turn (2003) and Survival of the Dead (2009) 6th in the Night of Living Dead series of movies . why not just google his name ? IMDB probably give you better info about him than wikipedia.
@@what4888 yeah i did i was just saying I grew up watching red green as a kid and later on happened go see the cartoon and the voice sounded so familiar I had to look it up and it was him. Also happened to see one of the murder docs and he was the bad guy and i was like hey that's mike. If i remember edgar Montrose guy was the host/narrator. I did look him up and it was mostly bit parts and stuff. A lot of the other red green cast did parts in candian tv like traders, due south and stuff like that.
that's cool . a bit of a digression : I mentioned the Night of the Living Dead series of movies . They were supposed to be horror movies , but they were so badly made they made you laugh . I remember watching the first one, supposedly a cult classic . About a half hour of that first movie is one guy arguing with another about we should go downstairs and the other arguing no we should stay upstairs , either to avoid or fight off the zombies . what a waste of time for a around 90 a minute film ... whatever ...
Anybody notice Winston's name on one of the barrels Walter fell on? I think those were the same barrels they were in when they rolled down the hill and made a metal totem pole?
I literally just laughed until I cried with the don’t get too close to your old man bit. So kick that off the bucket list Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholas.
Mike sure turned Bette Davis right quick. Who knew he was such a diva. It’s always been a dream of mine to meet the cast. Course they’ll never let me in Canada unless I island hop, which I won’t until I get the last leg up.
Billy Hawkins I realize this is a very late reply, but did you mean the Bill Smith that Rick Green plays or a different Bill? I don’t think Rick Green has done anything else as major as the Red Green Show.
Imagine how TV's changed over the years when flat screens were plasma tv's reason why they were very expensive now they are basically giving them away.
over 13 years....300 episodes....thats creativity genius,,,,mr steve smith , you are one heck of an entertainer .

Hes funny but I liked Garth harble better.
He’s my favorite!! I think he was a writer on the show too. I crack up every time he’s on the show
@@dickJohnsonpeter dwight is great though ...just laid back or edgar is hilarious

The breakfast preparation scene at 17:27 is quite possibly one of my favourite bits from any episode of this show.
Can’t wait to see it now.
Same!
Yeah it was. The looks on Mike's and Herold's faces. Priceless. lol
Holy cow: Walter in color! A rare treat, even rarer than Bill in color!(36 or so episodes with Bill in color, just two with Walter)
The other was the mailbox wars when he was making the hot dog bike.
@@beng6319No, there was another episode that opened with Red washing windows with water balloons.
I love Red Green. Its old television, but I can relate to everything even though I am 13. xD
I love when Mike leads the Possum Lodge Word Game. He really gets into it.
He puts so much emotion into the intro
I'm amazed he didn't steal all the change in the bag.. hehehe..
I used to hate it, now I love it. I guess.
May He Rest In Peace.
James Ross well you are a man and you can change...it’s in the Man’s Prayer
If Bernice DOES watch this show, she'll know Red's tricks too well.
Vincent St.Germaine after a couple of years of marriage she learned them all
@@bostonrailfan2427 It only took my wife a couple years. Now after only 6 I can't pull a damn thing on her. It's like she knows before I do.
It's a good thing Harold didn't talk Dalton, Winston, and Ed to provide "local color" including a llama petting zoo.
"I asked myself 'Why is that TV screen getting bigger?' And then it hits me!"
Red's "fake car" looks like the 1966 Batmobile...
It even looks like the pointy ears on Batman's cowl are in the window of the driver's side of the cardboard car....
How many others noticed the hamster wheel change sides of the cage at 6:00?

I wish there was another Edgar Montrose episode. All the characters are so dialed in.
Does anyone remember when a bed and breakfast was a cheaper and better alternative to a motel room ?
Watched it every Saturday and always a great laugh.
Found it on RUclips, wife says hooray!! I am laughing again
I miss watch I wish they would come back. But I also understand why they don't. But they will always be missed.
2:32 Mike Hammer had a reaction about Sid's Friends comes to his house day off from school.
Mike Hammer: What A Dump get my bag
Anybody notice Winston's name on one of the barrels Walter fell on? I think those were the same barrels they were in when they rolled down the hill and made a metal totem pole?
DwayneAPurple they film a lot of segments at once and reuse props constantly, it’s most noticeable in the Adventures and earlier Handyman segments
The grey overlay to give the narrative part is the same overlay in every episode.

Tail-gating ! Love it.
"Ed Frid brings in the most dangerous animal in the world..."
MAN?
5:17... those eyes.. LOL
I don't think they use the kitchen because they lost the cook a long time ago
MrDefining no need for it so why waste money they don’t have on something they don’t need
Now here's a real junkyard mechanic.gienus !
This is a bed and breakfast not a halfway house.

ever notic when reds watching tv its always his show that's on?
Dont have to pay copy rights that way, plus its a nice little easter egg I think

"Cover your thingies" lol
Might I ask, is that a Ralph Lauren?
Uh, no, it's a Leavenworth
XD
I don't get it.....
William Merkel US federal prison or the infamous US military prison
You should Upload the Red Green from the Smith and Smith variety show. I like the Gun safety one.
Mike: you expect me to eat that? (in the script)
Red: I do (NOT in the script!) lol
18:27 is the funniest part of any episode of this show!!
Ed: I could get mauled by a puma and dragged into its cave.
Red: Well, we all have our problems. I usually get dragged into a mall.
😆
The man playing adventures with bill
Continuity question: the lodge does have a kitchen (have you watched season 2?) so why didn't they use it?
Would you trust any of the Lodge members in the kitchen?
No reason to build a set or rent one again...
