The Red Green Show was one of the best things to ever come through a TV set. What creativity and humor! The best part is Red's inventions/creations usually worked!

boy you can really see the progression of Red's ridiculous handy man adventures over the years. At the beginning of the show he basically a cave man who would just break things and call it a days work, now his innovations actually demonstrate some skill,
It went from lofty, ambitious, yet utterly useless stuff to somewhat useful yet impractical stuff...but the progression also happened as he needed new ideas and trying to top himself And the funny part? A lot of the projects weren’t his ideas: Bob Bainborough and the others wrote a lot of the sketches
This show was made when the people wearing MAGA hats still thought that Trump was part of the "liberal elite". Wonder how they feel about this joke now...
@5:14 .... who'd have thought Red was talking about a man who, in 20 years, would be president of the United States? Reminds me of the 20 year in the future bit on Rowan and Martin's Laugh In back in the 60's when they predicted the president would be Ronald Reagan.
As long as you never go back there you should be fine. That is exactly how that Generations thought about safety precautions. I'm 55 and that's exactly how my granddad was and our generation wasn't much off
I wonder how many possum vans they actually used. Theres several episodes where he cuts a big chunk out of them to put in something like the refrigerators, the garbage wench arm, or the times on adventures with Bill where it got bashed to Hell.
Historical fact: the photo used to represent "Walt Gorgovich" at 17:22 is actually a famous one of how Walter P. Reuther and Richard T. Frankensteen appeared after they were attacked by guards at the Ford Rouge Plant in Dearborn, MI in 1937 during the Battle of the Overpass, how were S&S Productions able to get to the Henry Ford Museum archives to get that photo to use on one of their shows?

Well deserved congratulations to Steve Smith on being inducted into the Canadian Comedy Hall of Fame!!
I saw that on my Roku TV via Red Green channel! Congrats, Mr. Smith!
He's been in my comedy hall of fame for years.😁

They work sometimes and to an extent but yes they are funny and humorous

@@jlucasound Yes I absolutely remember it! ...Canada rocks doesn't it
I'd like to thank my Canadian father for introducing me to this brilliant, underrated show. Mad respect for Red Green & Co., and all of Canadia.

I always liked the gas can on top of the wood burning stove in the background.
I've always respected Red for doing his own stunts--like actually driving that scary looking fan boat!
MrDefining cutaways allowed for passage of time...they were tested before he actually filmed those parts. Joel, the stunt coordinator, did them first
You bet!
Still watching and enjoying!! Thanks for sharing this with us! Peace to all...🦋💜🦋
Been watching it for 30 years and I just noticed that
the red is green and green is red
I love this show as many times as I have watched it never gets old . The writing and the cast are amazing and timeless
I'm so glad to see this show do so good and get so big. It couldn't have happen to a better group. I relate, so loved it sense the beginning.
Always liked red green. Just quirky enough to make me laugh. Wish they would reboot this show

As good now as it was back then, but better because nothing on TV nowdays is very good - nor funny like this.

This was on when I was a kid. I would've loved it back then. Why did I only find out about it recently?
It was on PBS some areas played it and some didn't. Only played in my area from 91-99.

Wayne Robson was essential to these episodes.
The multiple possum vans in the junkyard while he's cutting apart one of them was a great touch
