2D Sekiro is really hard

This game feels really classic. Like an arcade game. Love a game that makes a lot out of simplicity. It really does make me think of Sekiro, not just in the Japan theme, but the way parrying is the most important thing. Always best to parry first and ask questions later.

I love sword fighting and combat games like this where you control each movement, ya know? It's so much better than animation-based combat.

Honesty yeah, no online play is a bummer, but that didn't stop me from dumping around 90 hours into the game in the span of a little over a month lol! I agree with you 100% on the combat of this game, it's amazing, has plenty of room for mastery, and just feels so rewarding to "git gud".
Haven't played Sekiro yet, though I was planning on playing Ghost of Tsushima. If I like this game, should I try Sekiro first?

I think you’d like Sekiro. It’s a great game. Obviously there’s more to it, but at its core it’s got the similar premise of defense first and then lethal, decisive attacks. Parrying a series of attacks from the enemy is always really satisfying.
I still haven’t played Ghost of Tsushima but I know its reputation and I think most people that like one of them really like the other too, so I’d say start with whichever one you want but definitely try both.

2:15 The dev said that YABAI was meant to be the hardest difficulty, but to pay homage to MGS3's "European Extreme" difficulty, exclusive to european versions of the game, which was an even tougher version of Extreme, he added it to the game, and it's.....a ride.
